Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
What are the specifics though because Sharp had a contract if he wanted it. Was it a mutual delisting then?I think I remember reading somewhere that players can't be a DFA if they've been offered a contract by their club

Anyway I forgot he was technically an SSP not DFA selection
GC just did Sharp a solid in the end and delisted him to allow him free movementWhat are the specifics though because Sharp had a contract if he wanted it. Was it a mutual delisting then?

Wallsy said we want points and to move up the order.

Presumably the contract offer was informal, not formal. Then, as you say, mutually delisted. What are the specifics though because Sharp had a contract if he wanted it. Was it a mutual delisting then?

He wasn't specific. Was he talking about our 1st round pick, or another pick?
I am none the wiser
No way we recruit someone to play them in the wafl as a strategy for retaining talent. Jai wants to play afl - do you think Caleb and he will love Freo in that scenario?Serong really only makes sense to try keep Caleb tbh
We don't need anymore kpps, I know he is shorter but he plays that third tall role really
Don't think he is an elite kick to be a distributor
more likely the campaigner would kneecap Jaiwrong than do something in good faith for othersWell maybe Mitchell should just say thank you for Meek and do one good thing in his life then
I don't think the rules are any different tbh. What are the specifics though because Sharp had a contract if he wanted it. Was it a mutual delisting then?

I went through the VFL stats and posted about a month ago. They also list players starting position. He played about 6-7 games wing and 6-7 games HBF and 4-5 CHB. Seemed to play his best as HBF third tall similar to Chapman I’d say - tall running HBF. He did play wing so that would be part of the positioning I’m sure. Quite versatile.According to the Hawks board he played Wing all year, to give him a chance to play. Stuck behind too many in defence. They seem to rate him highly.
Got to admit I was disappointed in the draft year we just missed him.
Haha. I can see Sam Mitchell reaching in to handshake a departing player then suddenly unloading an almighty corkie to the thigh.more likely the campaigner would kneecap Jaiwrong than do something in good faith for others
Coffee - cost of flying ****ing everywhere entitlementThere should be a flight allowance. Yes, I’m being serious.
The miles WA teams cover + time is ridiculous.
Having the allowance would make it slightly more palatable for potential recruits.
So Ive just done a quick main list players count. We have 3 main list spots available (provided we keep 6 rookies) but that's if you count Will Brodie. So likely once we trade out Will we will have 4 main list spots and we could create another by delisting redrafting Sturt as a rookie (we then have two rookie spots). As we are promoting Sharp we can use only two draft picks if we recruit Serong and McVee.I wonder if we don't take Whan, unless he slips to the rookie list.
If we could use our two 3rds, compensation for Reidy and Brodie to get a mid 2nd round pick are we better of taking that?
Whan looks to be sliding a lot

Ahead of the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls has provided insight into the Club’s trade and draft plans.
Attention has turned to the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, commencing on Monday 6 October and running for 10 days until concluding on Wednesday 15 October.
Walls discussed a number of different options the Club is considering before the trade period officially begins.
“We’ve got three senior list spots to fill after those retirements (Nat Fyfe, Michael Walters and James Aish) and the delistings (Jack Delean and Odin Jones),” said Head of Player Personnel Walls.
“We’ve upgraded Josh Draper, who moves up to the senior list after being a Category B Rookie, and Jeremy Sharp also moves from the rookie list to the senior list.
“So we have three spots available on the senior list and three rookie spots as well.
Davies has a contract for 2026So do we expect Davies or Ollie Murphy to head out?
