Good overhead in a contest with neat disposal and decision making. Slightly slower but bigger McVee basically. When we are talking about the role he'd play (that we are filling with Banfield and Worner), you dont need elite characteristics to fill the role IMO.

Hawks have Battle, Scrimshaw and Sicily ahead of him in the pecking order so not in the best 22 shouldnt be used against him.

Best case scenario is he takes over Ryan's role eventually

Given now linked to Jairong as well, while there could be plans to move him or McVee to a wing, I also wonder if we are trying to increase forward depth but getting Banfield back up there and out of the backline? Not in the b22 but Banfield as a medium forward depth adds to our options up there

Just quietly, McVee Jai Serong may end up being one of the pickups of the trade period, on a cost for value basis.

22 years of age. Slots into a system. Provides Clark cover during games (He was starting to become targeted.) Upside unknown.

Teams know what they're getting with Petracca, Merret, Curnow types, but they'll need to pay substantially.

This is a low-cost potential high reward play.

I don’t rate our 3rd talls beyond Ryan and I’m not confident of his longevity. Chapman, Worner, Draper, Davies don’t move the needle much.

Probably not, but just about have to punt one right (if we added McVee and Serong)?

I'm not across how we're going for list spots, but feels like we'd get pretty limited at being able to add players in different areas bringing in two more defenders.

Voss can spend 2026 on the rookie list. (2024, 2025 so far)
