No, I am right. You can't claim that some clubs are given better deals than others if you don't look at the entire way the clubs are treated. Some get better drafting rules (academies, father sons etc), some get better TV rights and better fixtures. Tasmania is about to get sign-on bonuses. Take it all into account.

I was talking exclusively of the MOST important support which is getting gun players.
When Coll or any other established Club, gets a god father support package from the AFL as GCS got for Ablett, then we can talk again.
Until then GCS is the AFL’s pet project- who I have no doubt will be given flexibility by the AFL, to recruit Petracca, in ways not accessible to other Clubs.

Agreed, but it’s such a fine balancing act. They need something to counter the advantage we get it’s just gone too far with the academies. I don’t have a solution BTW because if the acquisition cost becomes overly prohibitive does the game suffer? Alternatively you’ve got people like Matthews spouting absolute bullshit about the numbers of representation from the northern states and suggesting they need to rise whilst simultaneously retaining priority access. Essentially he wants SOO teams out of the northern states…

The academy advantages are only just beginning to kick in with the earliest blokes - Heeney and Andrews now at their peak, with heaps more taken since. It'll be a bad year like Sydney in 2025 when those teams miss finals over the next decade. They overcooked the draft advantages and draft advantages play out over 15 years

One of the difficulties for the AFL in terms of equalisation is easier player movement has really skewed the Vic market further into good and really really bad.

No idea who Aisha is. But I'm hopeful he has a decent run with injury. I get a feeling they may be on top of his physical issues. But it's an optimistic guess.

Even if Bobby was drunk last night who cares? It's the end of season function where drinks are flowing readily. A little bit different than when one of our own snorted some horse tranq on a pre-season camp but he got more of a pass!
