They will match any offer. If Zak does choose to move he will only move to a contending club, which won’t have as much room in their cap as what we do.
Considering the offer Port presented to Zak would make him the highest paid player at the club, I fail to see why Port won’t match the offer and force a trade.

Ahahaha, you just admitted you're stupid, I've been saying all along that this fanbase is filled with stupid idiots like you, thank you for proving my point d!ckhead. We aren't going anywhere as a club with idiots like you supporting this club. Because of idiots like you, we are the joke of the competition.

You would go into a coma if you were in the USA supporting a basketball team

He's only stupid from the brain cells he has lost reading and responding to your posts.

I forgot about this. Fair. Thought he was unrestricted
How do people forget about the most important part of FA
  • Restricted free agents are a little trickier. They have served eight years or more with one club and are in the top 25 per cent of wage earners at that club – often the 'star' players of a team. Opposition clubs can make an offer to lure these players. If the offer is matched – both in duration and financially – by their current club but the player still wants to move, a trade then has to be struck.

Ahaha why, what have I done wrong?

You can't handle modern sport reporting and how the media does things

4 of my favourite nba players got traded in the middle of the night without warning and had to get over it in a month because modern sports is volatile

So you're basically saying that you have no issue with our best player leaving. When he leaves, we're literally screwed and if you think we aren't screwed when he does leave, please tell me why.

Also, I'm not sure if Basketball in America is relevant to AFL in Australia, different sport, different country.

I really have no strong feelings one way or the other provided we get an appropriate deal for him. As much as I would prefer not to lose a great player who I like, It's not like he dragged us over the line in a bunch of critical finals games.

Plenty of examples of elite players moving clubs only to see their old club do well out of it. We can't be shitting the bed at the trade table like we did with Houston though.
Yup, I love baseball, gridiron and soccer. You learn not to get attached, you just want good compensation.

Given our trading history for the last couple of years we will give him away for a bag of chips
Thank god both CD and Ken are gone. They allowed this festering of doing what is right for the player and either overpaying to bring them in or undersell them when trading out.

Now I hope as hell Josh and his team make it extremely difficult and hard to deal with at the trade table and inject utter ruthlessness.
