Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

What a cop out, so you think the club is withholding cash and patently not deciding to spend it?

What? Not what I said at all, how have you come to that conclusion?

I think the club has failed the players and fans by mismanaging the salary cap during years where we could have pushed for a flag.

At the end of 2022, 23 and 24 we should have had the $$$ to properly have a tilt at a premiership. But we didn’t and it makes me angry.

Struggling to value Chesser; former pick 14 with two years development (at a club that has struggled) combined with some nasty injury issues.

Right type of player which we are finally targeting. Should have been going for these types in 2022 but better late than never. Huge upside, pace which he uses to chase run and carry. Has a lot of tools other than pace such as kicking and an overhead game. Fits our needs like a glove.

Is not injury prone, has had one injury which failed to be resolved by the methods used by the club and has been resolved with surgery.

I am very positive about Chesser and feel he could be an absolute steal.

I suspect the culture within the playing group has been off for the best part of 20 years.

I strongly believe we’re a better team without the services of some ‘better’ players.

Oh I agree! He’s exactly what we’re after, I just worded my post poorly - I meant to say I’m struggling to assess his trade value - no idea what he’s worth to WCE.

I just want a culture built around genuine Carlton nutters.

Cripps, Weiters, Cowan, Cotters, Hollands etc. The types who seem like they would genuinely do anything for the club.

Richmond will be up and about and confident they will roll us again. What sort of performance will we put out?

Will we roll over like this year or come out breathing fire? I feel that game will go a long way to showing us if there has been a shift in attitude or not.

Its called building depth. None of them will cost the world and all will improve our bottom line in terms of class and run across the field.

The only players that are going to have a genuinely significant impact on whether we can break into the top tier of teams are the players already on our list like Cripps, Walsh, Weiters etc. Florent, Hayward etc just help bridge the gap between our best and worst.

It's not Vossy's fault that Austin and Agresta gutted the list the last 2 years which is the primary reason the players have become disillusioned.

Instead of building on a preliminary finals base they've torn it to shreds.

This is where I get confused, I see the same things others have and agree with these points, so when’s the sackings happening?

Voss has been backed in, so how does the LM team continue if they’re the ones responsible for the past two years?

Surely it can’t be just Lloyd who is removed?
