Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Don’t want Buku anyway
Bulldogs player acquisition and strategy manager Michael Regan on Trade Talk:

Okay, keep him then. Apparently we offered pick 41 for him earlier in the week and was rejected. If they're looking to get something more for someone like Buku, then good luck to them. 6 years on an AFL list for 41 games, turns 26 before next season, and has been running around in the VFL....and they rejected a 2nd round pick??

A 2nd round pick with some decent $$ would get Aleer, who I personally rate a lot higher than Khamis, especially if we see him as a defender.

Probably because it could also be high twenties or even pushing 30+ depending on free agency compensation and ladder position.

Tells me the club genuinely think that moving on a few bad eggs, recalibrating the role players on the list, and resetting the coaching

sorry mate - how can my likes be a myth

i like ainsworth - that is a fact
he's be many of my fantasy draft team - yup another fact
can be deeply silky - CAN - didnt say he had 100% DE - did say that he can be

13 possessions average. 1 goal a game. That's poor. How do these stats warrant a second round pick for a 28 year old.?

Do we have confirmation if it was a 2026 or 2027 future 2nd? The latter makes a lot more sense.
No one would have thought about offering a 1st for Hayward last year, so in trade negotiations, pretending he’s some fringe player addition, is way off.

Not interested in Rowbum but 2 firsts and Hayward is equivalent to 3 first.
No, i's an upgrade over the Geelong offer mostly through the difference between pick 11 and pick 19.
68% disposal efficiency across his career. Kicking efficiency 62%. Fantasy points are also average.
He kicks mostly at goal or into 50, so efficiency stats suffer if he doesn't hit a target or kick a goal.

Basically they've come out and said we want him to play VFL until we need him.... Well, they're looking for defenders. Surely he has to be seen more than "depth".

What a dumb answer.

I don’t think Aleer is all he’s cracked up to be. There’s a reason Giants fans don’t care to lose him.
I read the other day he had the one of the highest 1v1 loss rate of any player in the league. 25 this year and lost 50% of them.
Built like Tarzan, runs around like a headless chook.

2026 F2

We are stupid and been stupid for the last 35 years, Ainsworth? We are stuffed.
Aren’t you the same person that pretended to be itk and posted complete rubbish for a while, such as negotiations with Cripps stalling literally a couple weeks before he re-signed? Not sure you’re one to go around calling people stupid

Honestly if Rowbottom is included with Sydney 1st this year and next for Curnow
That's nearly as good as we'll get tbh
Rowbottom is way better than Florent
Tackling machine too
He's no doubt a great player. Big reason why Heeney, Gulden and Warner are so effective. Just not the right type for us imp considering we already have that role filled
