Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Miller is class and only 29yo.
Davies is starting to hit his straps.
Graham is young and versatile, could easily play on-ball as he develops. Lombard as well.
Weller, Berry and Holman are still scratching around.

I suppose they've jettisoned Flanders, Fiorini and Ainsworth who provide rotations.

They're adding Uwland and Patterson though, looking like picking up Petracca. I'd have thought a 4th or 5th string defensive mid wouldn't be much of a need for them, but hey, who knows.

It'll be interesting how we fit him in. Bit underwhelmed by what I saw of him as a forward over preseason (very limited). If we have decent natural forwards I wouldn't be desperate to squeeze him in.

Also, depends how physically ready he is to be a mid. If he plays forward he'll push very high up the ground.

Would love to see him in a Dylan Moore-esque role to start his career, very high half-forward buzzing around from contest to contest being a link man transitioning the ball into our forward 50.

That being said it's probably the hardest role in the game to play, so I may be expecting a bit much of the lad.

If Sydney wants to get serious its futile them trying to hold their F1. Any offer needs to include both 1sts or it's pointless. There is no chance they can hold it and get Charlie without trading a player they wouldn't be willing to trade.

I keep coming back to the Crows off season last year - Cumming, Peatling & Neal-Bullen aren't A graders but were quality mature players that could immediately improve the Crows - I think Ainsworth and Chesser can play that role.

One is a skilled, smart mid-forward connector who will help with our F50 delivery and impact, irrespective of who's there.
We need more of these types.

The other is a panicky, erratic poor decision maker who is yet to fully secure a position in his team's best 22.
We already have these types.

I dont think Geelong were ever willing to cough up for Charlie. They have bigger gaps on their list.

I think their offer was just the bare minimum so they can tell Charlie they tried. That way they stay in the good books in case he wants another crack next year. Or unlikely but best case we crack and take it because we see the situation as untenable.

I rate Rowbottom highly and he’s 25. Perfect player to replace Cripps/Hewett over next year or so and team with Walsh Jagga Cerra Lord etc

This is one deal Id rather SOS negotiating. Austin is good at his job, but has rarely shown he can get overs in a trade.
