Out of curiosity, if Charlie played for another team and nominated us, what would we give up for him?

Would he makes us better and give us hope to push for finals and possibly go deep?

Or would you say no point right now we can’t deliver into our forward line so he’s not worth giving up picks and or players.

If he makes other teams better why can’t he make us better also?

Blokes a gun. We’ve had a crap year. Get in better players to support him and get him to move more.

He’s a bit of a goof. If he stays he will carve it up.

It’s cute. These hypothetical trades where we get some slightly above average positional players or “first round picks” in name only.

None come close to replacing one of the few players that can actually turn a game on its head on their own.

I am far more miffed at how the forward line operated and how the ball was delivered than I am at any perceived notions of disloyalty, after how the club has “stood by him” over the years. We paid him cause he’s a generational talent. I mean we pulled one over the rest of league by drafting him at 12 ffs.

He probably is getting traded and the sky won’t be falling, but I’m not seeing his exit as a panacea for what went wrong this year.

I'm offering a F3 for Khamis and not budging if I'm Carlton. He can stay there if they demand more, that pick 32 would actually be really useful for bid matching...

It allows us to move 10 + 11 into next year F1 or up the pecking order this year, while having more than enough to pay for a Dean bid... so nah **** that, for Khamis...

They can posture all they like, if they value him as much as they claim, he'd have played more games for them especially given their backline...

Perhaps I was naive but all this time, despite all the ‘talk’ and speculation, I was not expecting a trade for Charlie to actually eventuate this year.

Guess I’m going to have to get used to it.

I’m actually disgusted with him tbh and his management.

I still don't think it's done just yet. The swans will have to convince players to leave. That's never easy.

And cough up a lot of draft picks.

I consider it a 40% chance of getting done... but a 95% chance of getting done next year. #Gibbs.
