Don’t forget the 2026 pick we’ll have to lure Butters![]()
Why is that funny? It’s pretty much what every other club trying to get Butters (or any other a-grader available) will have.

It's funny because Butters is going nowhere but the Dogs. Why is that funny? It’s pretty much what every one else trying to get him will have.
Go and check his stats for the last 3 VFL games.Re the bolded - Finn was killing it in the VFL? I must have slept through those games.

I'd prefer that our list management team utilises all the seconds available to them during this period to figure out ways to wheel and deal to make our list better, and not take direction on how to do their jobs from a Gettable co-host. He should go back to being a rude pig to members of the public that call in and melting about Liverpool FC.
Turns out it was Cal that said it, not Riley - so I change the bit about Liverpool to something about watching Avi Yemini clips.
Lucky Sully hit the jackpotSullivan would be a delist today, had he not been given extended time to prove himself in the AFL.
People are writing off our kids even before they've had a chance to prove themselves is my point.
The 2 VFL games you're talking about didn't MAKE Sullivan - if that was the case Finn who was killing it in the VFL on his return from injury, would till be on the list.
Extended AFL exposure is the deciding factor - that's they only way the kids prove they are better than Sullivan.

Thanks for the correction.West had a stress fracture in his foot, it wasn't PF.
Tongue in cheek aside, I’d very much like to see Perryman put on ball next year. He did very well in opening round there this year but didn’t get a lot of opportunity after that. How many times do you need to be told that Long and Allan are the answer!
Pretty much but the FOMO spreads out of control like a wildfire this time of year.I think the Pies will only come away with Buller for the Brody pick.
I am happy with that.
If we had a fit JDG, Bobby and McStay this year I think the end result would have been better.
As those 3 are ready to go in 2026 + Reef in back line I think we are good to.
Buller is really a Cox replacement - but we also may resign Cox.
We are good - relax - and at the end of 2026 the Pies can go shopping.
Because you’ve posted a variation of it about 150 out of your 170 posts in this thread! Even if Butters were to choose us (which he won’t, Dogs) that pick will mean nothing to Port. They’ll be McCreery and IQ or **** off.Why is that funny? It’s pretty much what every other club trying to get Butters (or any other a-grader available) will have.
Agreed wholeheartedly.Tongue in cheek aside, I’d very much like to see Perryman put on ball next year. He did very well in opening round there this year but didn’t get a lot of opportunity after that.
Yet his family have also apparently told people he's definitely going to the DogsHe is likely going to Geelong, based on what someone close to the family told me, but it’s not just about Butters, it’s about any potential a grader that might become available.

That welcome thread trigger finger is getting itchyWe get it mate.
I reckon you investigate what Port has in the pipeline through the draftNo it won’t. It will be 26, 27 and 28 first rounders.
Also, there is no real precedent for a club holding a FA, even if they match a bid.
Thee (late) first rounders will be more then enough (just as it was for Cameron)

Is Simpkin really worth more than a 2nd rounder ? Roos trying to talk him up as their 'captain', etc sounds desperate especially when they can't even play him as a first choice mid.
Will Faulkner
I don't think so, Bo! A pick between 17-25 feels ballpark, but I could be wrong?
Do the pies get Buller and Simpkin or row bottom or is there something that no one knows and will suprise a few
I'd say a surprise is more likely at this stage Tark! Given how high North's asking price is for Simpkin and Rowbottom not wanting to leave Sydney
Thanks will Buller make the move
I think so! Collingwood's pick 59 shouuuuld be enough
Will the pies get Jack Buller and jy Simpkindone for the trade deadlinePLAYERCARDSTART12Jy Simpkin

Jack Buller I think should get done. Simpkin I'm not sure, think the Roos would be happy to keep him
Hi Ben, any reports of Collingwood players becoming agitated at the clubs constant engagement in trade periods since Fly came in? Feels like they/we have little development coming through?
Hey Nick, no reports there, but yes the Pies' strategy is to clearly top up with established players, which not only skews their list demographic, but means their earliest selections are often later. So in general, they're not bringing in the top possible talent more consistently.
Collingwood are not taking any pick unless it's single digit for de goey
I'm not sure De Goey is worth that high a pick anymore unfortunately! He's getting up there in age and his body is becoming less and less reliable.
JJ do ya reckon that Big Cox gets another contract from the mighty magpies!
I wouldn't have thought to Tahny! I'd personally be delisting him. The Jack Buller addition should be the writing on the wall.

I think there's a chance he signs a one-year deal to stay at the Pies/
If you had to guess, % of De Goey actually leaving the Pies?
20%. I can't see it realistically happening.
