2025 AFL Draft and Trade Dates:

Fri Oct 3 - Fri Oct 10: 2025 Free Agency Period
Mon Oct 6 - Wed Oct 15: 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period

It'll be pretty funny if - after spending countless hours sucked into the Bigfooty trade maelstrom for the past week and a half, fighting imaginary pitched battles against other faceless tribal nuffies (special mentions to WalshIsTheSPUD & 'baggers32' or some such) - all we have to show for it is pick 99 and no players :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

We've been played like fiddles gents; bravo AFL and their accredited media goons. I'd rather drive on bare rims than pay for a Continental tyre, that's for damn sure.

Yet on reflection, perhaps the time we shared together was the real value we all traded into our hearts

Yeah ok. I don’t think that’s necessarily bad for us unless they do the deal on our terms, which I think they’ve pretty much ruled out.

Depend how much we think we need a new ruckman to get through the season. We were playing with fire this year, could be ugly next year.

Still not worth overpaying.

When you go for the win you can't afford to leave resources running around in the 2nds, they're making the right move concentrating in the now. Part of their decade and a half of missing finals was they kept getting destracted by the shiny new toys they were drafting and losing guys with 3-5 pre-seasons.

Petracca will also have a lot less responsiblity at the suns than he did at Melbourne.
I do agree with that. I don't think Petracca will be a bust. A change of scenery might do him good as well.

JUH really hitting the ground running could move the needle more IMO. They need a mobile key forward to complement the one dimensional King.

The real mystery mid was the friends we made along the way

I'm not expecting much from JUH

I think they should have eyed Curnow, traded out some of their battery of young KPF, and worried about the cap space well into the future
