So now he is suitable p155ed at Brisbane as is his manager. he now becomes a delisted free agent and will nominate for the PSD. He can put whatever contract he likes on his head and term length. So if he thinks another club might try and take him, he puts a 1 year big money deal on his head..if they take him, as he is a delisted free agent at the end of this year, he is one for life and in a years time walks for nothing to the club of his choice. So at worst, Adelaide can be sure of having him in a maximum 1 year's time if a club is silly enough to get in his way this time in the PSD

I mean I feel like you tried to correct or tweak my point while really just confirming what I said.Ok sure, I acknowledge the somewhat semantic point you've made...in that sense you are correct
Feel free to acknowledge the substance of the point I made![]()
Ben Williams doesn't control what every club does in PSD lol
You know, unless they want to keep the player at that price.Because anybody can put a value on a player, it becomes a bad look when that value is obviously unreasonable and they refuse to budge.

What? I meant be accommodating to him so he can get the pay he wants at a club he wants to play for, or pay him what he wants now since you own him from the back payments with underpaying him. That's why he was gettable in the first place as Davis knew this.If he's been getting underpaid, doesn't that suggest he's worth something based on his performances? Hence asking for an early 2nd rd pick is reasonable?
Or does your logic only apply to his monetary contract and not his trade value? Adelaide logic right...?
Guaranteed that many clubs will be into AhChee’s ear, telling him that they’ll consider picking him up at the PSD.
That will scare him into taking Brisbanes offer, and put more pressure on their salary cap. Win for the league.
But it matters what you have and what you need. Both teams need to see value. An F2 and F3 for an uncontracted 28 year old is a pretty reasonable offer
Weird by Brisbane
Like I said, I get why you guys dont give two shits and will back The Dom to the hilt. Back to back flags gives unlimited faith for a few years. Clearly Ah Chee and Williams arent too thrilled though, no point claiming Adelaide should have been better when it's clear which side the player is on.Good evening Mr Snuff. An eventful trade period indeed.
Adelaide has had all year to have the right capital to trade for Cal whose value based on other deals is around the 20-25 mark. They came to the trade period with only a f2 to offer, something which would end up around pick 40.
Based on previous trades the lions have done with other clubs, one proposal would have been a pick slide which would have valued cal around pick 25. The Crom didn’t want to do that.
I’m happy for the club to take a position on this one and not budge if the Croms trade tactics are to just offer a pick that has little value to us and say all we got take it or leave it. They had all year.
He’s not worth pick 16. That’s more than we got for a contracted Charlie Cameron.
Go on Matt Clarke I’ve always had faith in you
1. Ben Williams has already said he remains zero chance of staying at Brisbane and will end up at Adelaide. The latter might not eventuate but the former will - he’s not staying at Brisbane. You know, unless they want to keep the player at that price.
AhChee would have a contract on the table that reflects a first round pick.
Nothing Brisbane have done here is a “bad look”.
Unlike the teams that walk players to the PSD.
So if (for example) Port Adelaide say that they’ll pay up for AhChee in the PSD, does AhChee nominate?Lol, where are the delusional Lions supporters who said he would be happy to stay on significantly less money....
Been saying he will leave one way on another.

Crows ask for player. Lions were clear to AhChee where they valued him, and told the Crows the same story, and weren’t bluffing obviously. Crows don’t pay what the club wants.
How is that Brisbanes “bad look”?
Why wouldn’t Lions do the deal, if they didn’t want to keep him?1. Ben Williams has already said he remains zero chance of staying at Brisbane and will end up at Adelaide. The latter might not eventuate but the former will - he’s not staying at Brisbane.
2. We are talking about a 28 year old role player that has never finished top 10 in the bnf. What have you heard that makes you think his contract demands a first round pick.
Doesn’t seem like the language of someone that thought Adelaide lowballed Brisbane and have an egg on their face.

They received a fair offer but Brisbane refused to trade in good faith
Offering someone a contract is one thing... actually getting a trade done is 50% of the puzzle. Adelaide failed Ah Chee on that front. What? I meant be accommodating to him so he can get the pay he wants at a club he wants to play for, or pay him what he wants now since you own him from the back payments with underpaying him.
