Google is your friend.Again, would Essendon have received a Band 1 compensation had he sign for 5 years on the same money???
I did mention my memory was hazy - I'm not really that invested tbhYou are wrong. See my post above.
Yes or no??? You dodging the question suggest you know the answer is no.Google is your friend.
That’s not the point and moving the goal posts. We played by the rules of the day, we all won.Again, would Essendon have received a Band 1 compensation had he sign for 5 years on the same money???

Pfft… back2back is not really that impressive… 92 94… 05 06… so easy. If you really want to impress me, show me where Brisbane went back2back2back! Huh?!In the real world be are back to back premiers
alright, thanks for all the lolz but I think I'm done with this thread...looking forward to the PSD drama
see you all then![]()
Clubs and the AFL get salty when other clubs appear to gain an advantage, by trying something new but within the rules.I did mention my memory was hazy - I'm not really that invested tbh
Certainly there was discussion around it

Joe deal in limbo: AFL probes Daniher contract, rivals ask questions
The AFL is yet to approve Joe Daniher's contract extension amid other clubs' concerns about the free agency compensation sent to Essendonwww.afl.com.au
What question?Yes or no??? You dodging the question suggest you know the answer is no.
What moving the goal post? The discussion was around a poster comparing how Daniher and Ah Chee structured their contract and how they are similarly "manipulated". Daniher structure it which allow Essendon to receive a Band 1 compensation which affected the picks of other clubs 1st rounder whereas Ah Chee is doing the same but doesn't affect the club's PSD pick. One was manipulated as part of FA and the other isn't as part of PSD. Why do you think clubs need to sign FA players to 4-5 years after that "blunder" by the AFL.That’s not the point and moving the goal posts. We played by the rules of the day, we all won.

Especially the Vic clubs, because they’re so used to doing things the old ways and paying brown paper bags under the table.
Historical anything is basically irrelevant for this offseason. Playing under different rules now![]()
I can’t believe I listened to SENSA slop. I like the part where he said with a straight face that historically the future second was more than enough for Cal, while players like Ainsworth, Tylar Young (who?) and Buderick were traded for much better picks.
I haven’t read that conversation. I couldn’t be arsed reading all 8 pages since I was last on.What moving the goal post? I doubt that. More likely the afl would quietly tell the clubs to get sh!t done, then look after the “aggrieved” club through fixturing, etc.Yep.
The AFL makes it’s rules and changes them on the fly.
It’s the same as with the Sydney COLA stuff. Swans didn’t break any rules, they just used it in a way that the AFL didn’t like or anticipate, so they were punished.
My theory with the PSD, is that the unwritten rule is clubs are only allowed to use it if they offer a fair trade and it’s rejected. I think if a club tried to lowball another club and then selected a player through the PSD, there’d be some repercussions from the AFL.
Cry me a river.Alright I’m out.
Adelaide is not a serious club, I wish Karma to bite them again, similar to 2017.
Cry me a river.
I'm hearing the Brisbane players aren't too impressed with Dom "the prick" treatment of Ah Chee who has been transparent and upfront with Brisbane very early about his wish to leave the club and come to a club he supported growing up who will paid what he is worth, I guess the players know how Brisbane has underpaid him for years and short changed him. I wish Karma to effect them next year and will be the start of a playing group fall out with management, similar to Melbourne and then for Tasmania to raid your players. Forget offering Daicos $3M, offer Will Ashcroft $3.5M.Alright I’m out.

I keep reading Brisbane fans saying Adelaide fans are upset.. This seems to show the real upset party.Alright I’m out.

You might’ve missed Will Ashcroft already resigning, clearly didn’t affect his decision all that muchI'm hearing the Brisbane players aren't too impressed with Dom "the prick" treatment of Ah Chee who has been transparent and upfront with Brisbane very early about his wish to leave the club and come to a club he supported growing up who will paid what he is worth, I guess the players know how Brisbane has underpaid him for years and short changed him.
