I definitely wanted Thilthorpe over McDonald as confident he was something special.

Still reckon McDonald is an ok 2nd foil. Should be better for Curnow.

Look at where the top 20 ended up it was a horrible draft. Thilthorpe the only standout. covid years.

Can't delisted players simply be offered a contract? Do they have to be picked up in a draft?

They sure can. It’s how North signed Greenwood after the Suns delisted him with the intention to redraft him in the rookie draft

I feel like we have a number of players that play a similar role, ie HB and Wing that haven't quite made it.

I think there's a bit of sunk cost phalacy associated with not delisting them, or perhaps we feel we can get a trade in uber future for them.

Where we are terribly short are inside midfielders.

I'd definitely cut another player and try to poach George Stevens. I guess you'd want to be pretty sure he'd agree to come before delisting someone though.

He might not be perfect, but it's an area we seriously lack in.
