Seeing as how you are a cake connoisseur, I'd like to share a Cronulla pastry with you that I had a couple of this week pre-swim.It’s Friday! Bizarre day…glad it’s over!

They look delicious!Seeing as how you are a cake connoisseur, I'd like to share a Cronulla pastry with you that I had a couple of this week pre-swim.
I'll try order a box of them for half time on Sunday.
If I don't eat them all myself first, and there's any leftovers, just let me know how many the Dragons might want.

Morning Melbs Report;
Sun's trying to get out from behind the clouds, no wind (yay) expecting an ok day ahead.
Too early for traffic, give it 15 mins for nmayhem to begin.
Queen Victoria Market weekly shop done and home by 6.30am.
If you're in Melbs go there, it's been too quiet for the traders ever since the replacement of the tram stops on the corner of Victoria & Elizabeth Streets cut business for 3 solid weeks.
George my green grocer there (88 YO) says business has been lousy.
I hope it picks up for them going into the silly season, they need lots of business to make up for the disruption.
Haven't had breakfast yet, coffee yes. normally i have my Friday special breakfast of a Croque Monsieur bought at the QVM. Which i have but it hasn't jumped into the oven yet.
i've unpacked the shopping, watered the garden with seasol but i'm tired, it's been a massive and difficult week.
We're finally at Friday!
Have a great day ahead everyone.
374 Pipers making Melbs proud:
And a reminder today at Fed Square:

I will say, I can't remember which Friday is Black Friday as it seems so many stores keep emailing claiming every Friday is Black Friday lately, but Rebecca on Black Friday kinda makes senseIt’s tradition! Can’t be denied!!![]()

Look its a bit like putting lipstick on a pig, but you did pretty well consideringit is. i worked very hard on it.
What a shame!! I haven’t been to the vic markets for at least ten-fifteen years. It’s a shame to hear about the direction it’s gone in. I don’t think anything’s really the same as it once was. It's becoming a shadow of it's former self, as the MCC has now sold off the storage sheds on the southern boundary to private developers (3 towers are going up there, over shadowing the market), the MCC are then going to turn the at grade carpark into a 'skate park and venue space' which disadvantages any bulk shoppers like me or older shoppers (we just lost that battle in the courts and with the federal govt planning regs) and the ongoing 8 year works between the meat/fish section and the vegie section have made it really difficult for the traders.
We've (the Save the QVM Group) fought the MCC all the way on the inappropriate (read stupid) way they are doing the 'infrastructure' and the land grab sell off but the lands worth too much and they a greed ridden developers and their puppets that mainly sit on the Melb City Council.
It will still exist but probably will eventually become a generic shopping mall full of franchises and glorified food hall.
I've been going there all my life (since I was in a pram), it's was one of the best freash food markets in the world, I could cry with what it's become but it's still better than any of the fake farmers markets that mushroom in the inner city suburbs.
Sth Melbourne Market is the only one that still survives as it always has been.
Prahran Market was destroyed by chi-chi developers.
Preston Market has been sold off to developers and that has been fought hard for by the locals for it to survive, it's now on a 5 year suspension of total development but we will see what the 'master plan' actually is.
Where is your market jezzajay ?
