Yeah I've seen those descriptions but I didnt see any of that in any highlight. Looks agile for his strong frame but definitely not "explosive".

I am very glad it's not Thredgold even if he might be the better prospect.

I remember reading meltdowns and crash outs after we selected Murphy Reid last year and look how that worked out.

Lets manifest that big impact that into existence again next year for Sweid.

Fwiw re the speed doubters, this article lists that Sweid ran a 6:25 2km at the combine. So if his athletic gifts were high high level (which for the record Rookie Me doesn't say they are elite, just above average), they'd probably show up at the combine.

Yeah forgot about the ACL, certainly means his highlights could be even less reliable than normal highlights videos. Could be pretty deceiving

What he's listed at really doesnt mean much. Pretty sure at his size and with his work rate, he's playing flank / small forward. He even says he models his game on Moore

Pretty sure there’s only been a handful to have ever played in the league. Somehow almost all of them for Essendon at some point. Quite a few more coming through now with the Bachar Houli Academy

Looks very evasive and very smart with his hands but his kicks look flat as ****. You’re not getting wonky pancakes floating through with two bounces into goals in the AFL. Will definitely do well at Peel (no I’m not being smart).

Think he did the knee end of 2023 so he played some footy end of 2024. Physically he should have been fine for 2025, but being positive he missed an important year of footy so might have some further upside with development, maybe skill development as much as physical?

In one of the videos I did a see an under pressure kick boundary side on the left boot that found a teammate in the forward 50m.

Seems he backs his evasion and change of direction to get on his right.
