I think it was more we where interested in getting a bit of size into out midfield and the trade off for Grlj speed was Farrow who is generally a good user from half back and an attacking player.

I do think its an important trait but you need other tools. Not saying sweid doesnt

Id say the only way we could match was by moving a 2nd rounder which is a very bad idea. Even for 2027 with Bewick. You dont want to set yourself in a position where you have to pay top dollar to get a decently high pick to match a bid (you lose all leverage)

Tassie push the 2nd out. It could still be say pick 30-32, but could still be 400-450 points to help with a bid match with the 1st 2027

The rest of the recruiting team is moreorless the same… still. And yes we love rosa now, but he doesn’t have the runs on the board. We will only know in 2-3 years time. Freo have a much better recruiting team than essendon and id trust their talent id over ours.

RFK obviously worked with Dodoro.
Farrugia started in 2021 so has some cross over but is still relatively new.
Rohan O'Brien is basically the 2IC to RFK and Rosa.

When it comes to rating talent though, I’d back in freos department over our guys. They rate him highly and obviously have a role in mind, and we must not rate him in the top 30-35. If he turns into a gun, it’s a huge egg on face.

well they did get Patrick Voss right.
