I dont follow the draft too closely but the video highlights of Dylan Patterson got me pretty bloody excited. Looks a jet. Nearly as good as the Mckenzie Willis highlights reel :p

Also just love everyone hating us. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside haha.
As we found out McKenzie Willis was doing those highlights against Tasmanian plumbers

Not sure if Bailey is taking the piss or what. Why would you want to (1) Leave the coast and (2) play for a mess like Melbourne. Some people just aren’t right in the head.
Don't think he's taking the piss.....just supporting his best mate...

O' Pillar my pillar.

Anyways I would like to tip my hat to Kall Burns and Craig Cameron. They have played 4D chess this trade and draft period. You cannot convince me otherwise. To get the picks for all 5 of the academy crop and Avery Thomas who I rate is ****ing outrageous.

Does taking a Tasmanian now almost give you 2 chances?

Either he becomes an emerging player for you, or you trade him back to the Tasmanian side who will be loaded with picks and likely overpay in 3 years.

I think Thomas is the only top 40 draft pick we have taken in the last 3 years that is not from the academy.

It is sad but true that they would be happier if we kept drafting out of Victoria (Humper, Mac, Noah, Rowell, BKing) and they kept trying to lure them back, even if it means they can now draft the Humper equivalent themselves.

I mean, if Humper was in this draft we COULD NOT draft him. He would go to a Melbourne club. FFS, make up your minds.

Inevitably some of our good non-QLD players are going to get godfather offers to go home, and some of them we won't be able to keep.

Hopefully like the Giants have done the last decade, we can continue to get top tier draft capital to continue to replenish our talent stocks, to keep us in finals contention over the long term.

Getting the local talent over the last 3 years will be critical in having a core of players that don't have the pull of family, and are happy to play their careers at the Suns.
