They’ll get roasted if this series ends particularly badly. This is what the last few years has built up to. I don’t think it will, I expect this to still be a tight series and for them to bounce back.

I think they’ve done a pretty great transformation from where they were and don’t think they are that far away. They just don’t seem to have that killer instinct sometimes (not sure if this is the phrasing I’m after). At some stage they have to value winning ahead of everything else and still not sure that’s the case

My revolutionary idea for test cricket is that the next test starts when this one finishes

So let's imagine we hit the winning runs tomorrow early on. Exchange team sheets, toss the coin, Test 2 of the series starts in 30 minutes.

Tests carry over venues too. So if the "2nd test" hasn't been completed by Day 5 in Perth then we pick things up in Brisbane. Scores carry on.

Means every venue goes for the full 5 days. No draws. No unknowns for TV or ticket sales or catering. Fit in as many tests as you can each series.
