Genetics. A person with his slight build isn’t going to put on any meaningful size in an off season. Especially with all the running he’d be doing.

Stephenson still managed 26 goals in 2023 for a North side regularly losing by 40+ and winning just the 4 games the year before they decided to throw him onto the wing/half back. If he can produce that in a terrible North forward half, see no reason he can’t be a 25-30 goal forward like he was in his Pies days if we sort out our own forward structures.

If he becomes a 25 - 30 goal forward, then he replaces DBJ (who kicked 19 goals 8 in 2025) ...

You're right, we should definitely judge talented guys with a history of playing good footy solely by what they produced at Norf. That's why JHF is still a fringe player.

I never said anything about him at North, Collingwood dumped him on them and North took him as a salary dump like we did with Atkins.
I stand by what I said , no club would even look at him today apart from us.
Bringing in one player that hasn’t played AFL in years is enough, we don’t need another one.
