Yeah, that’s where I am at. Australia won’t win the World Cup, so give me the three hardest countries we can face.Obviously I’d want Australia to get out of the group and make a bit of a run but I wouldn’t want the easiest draw either. I think getting the chance to play a glamour team like Brazil or Spain is a lot more exciting than some average team like Canada that we might not beat anyway

In a 48 team World Cup, it would be very difficult to miss the round of 32 knock outs. Australia shouldn’t be fearing getting an England as 8 of the best 3rd placed teams will still progress. Eg that is 8 teams placed 3rd will progress from the 12 groups. You have to be a really bad team not to progress.Obviously I’d want Australia to get out of the group and make a bit of a run but I wouldn’t want the easiest draw either. It does make sense though.Weird they are doing the draw before the final teams have qualified
It does make sense though.
Draw is on December 5th. Third phase of World Cup tickets for exact matchups go on sale on December 11th.
That gives fans 7 months to book the exact matches they want to attend. Flights to multiple cities/countries (if they go to a few matches) and hotels in different locations. The alternative is having both the draw and tickets going on sale in April. That would be a lot more of a mad rush and more stressful than giving people 7 months.
It makes sense in that context but it makes more sense to me to have had all teams qualified before that date.It does make sense though.

Haiti are hopeful they dont get to play in usaAlso gives fans plenty of time to delete all memes they've posted about Donald Orange Mussolini Trump on social media before travelling to the US.
Otherwise they will be turned back at customs in the US when they arrive for those memes.

the fifa resale rip off site would go offImagine if Haiti, Iran, USA are in the same group.
Will the Orange Mussolini give his national team a home ground advantage by barring half of Iran/Haiti's teams?
A better use of VAR should be that they communicate in real time if they see a throw in or corner kick call being made in error. I would want this to be limited to real time use only though - no stopping and looking at replays for a corner kick or a throw in. Simply a case of hey mate, that was actually a corner, not a goal kick and the ref changes his call. That would be simple to implement.
