If the broadcast deal gets wound back, if Tassie doesn’t get up, and if AFL House continues to be dysfunctional, you’d have to think Andrew Dillon really is at risk of losing his job.![]()

Goyder as Chairman has been a disaster.

There’s a similar article in the herald Sun — clearly someone is leaking big time.
Given the AFL just sacked most of its media team, it's not surprising.Probably someones
Someone wrote the other day the incentives the AFL could have provided to the Tassie government for a side are considerable and may have been effective in changing the narrative down there. Some of the ideas suggested included offering them Gather Round, the draft, State of Origin Football, Opening Round, etc.To be fair, Tassie is entirely outside his control.
But the rest of his reign has been mediocre at best, and ranging from that to completely incompetent.
The Devil's introduction is overdue, but the stadium demands from the AFL has multiple issues.Someone wrote the other day the incentives the AFL could have provided to the Tassie government for a side are considerable and may have been effective in changing the narrative down there. I agree he doesn’t have control. But he could have done way more to influence things. Especially given he was responsible for much of the early negotiations.
It will be interesting to see the turnout to the pro stadium rally today. The anti stadium turnout last week was modest, and the social media posts suggested the average age would have been north of 60.The Devil's introduction is overdue, but the stadium demands from the AFL has multiple issues.
If Tassie wasn't such an Aussie Rules obsessed population it would never be considered.
The tension for all stakeholders must be escalating now.

I think that depends on whether you want to get some MHAs to vote in favour of your proposal. Those sorts of things will come, but I don’t think it’s something you offer before the team is even confirmed.
