I’m nominating So I Married An Axe Murderer.

So many quotable lines & cameos. Used to hire it out from the video store all the time back in the 90s.

The Scottish dad, La Paglia, Debi Mazar….all gold

Underrated movie that one .

Just watched Battle Royale (Japanese film, 2000).

Think of a cross between Lord of the Flies and Squid Game, with more gore.

Pretty ****ed up, it'll take a while to process. Tarantino said it was his favourite film from 1989-2009.

Don't look at the wikipedia entry for it, it's a full spoiler.

And if you want an Aussie cult film... Wake In Fright is hard to go past.

I'm gonna sit down tonight and watch the 1980's remake of The Blob. I think Shawnee Smith was still in high school when she starred in it. Always loved the different deaths. Here's what's in store;

I think a lot of old concert movies could fall under that definition. Before the net Song Remains the Same, Gimme Shelter, Cream Farewell, Live at Pompeii, were more legendary that viewable in the 80s. It was almost cultish if you had been one of the few who had actually seen any of them.

Another State on Mind and that Athens GA documentary from the 80s played on a cable channel at least once back then, I taped them.
Cult classics if you know about them.

I feel like there are more, but maybe just some good non-MS movies with great period soundtracks like Repo Man(bona fide classic), Tape Heads, Dudes,

I'd also add to that definition a movie that was a big budget production that flopped at the box office, but which built up a fanbase over time. Like, say, Blade Runner.
