Our batting makes it a par score at least though. Hopefully the usual NZ trick of the wickets flattening out a bit gives us a hand. 350+ would be nice

The conditions should get easier for batting but there should still be enough in the pitch tomorrow to assist our bowlers.

Happy WI boys when called off, first 5 batsmen anyway.
Hope they kick orse.

Yeah I can’t say I was disappointed when that happened. Only problem is I think that means the Kiwis get to determine what roller gets used tomorrow and I daresay they will opt for the light one and try not to alter what today’s surface was doing

Disappointing to see that shot. I wasn’t even hoping for a big score from Athanaze - I mean I would have liked one - but given his output to date and relative inexperience particularly in this sort of environment I would have just liked to have seen a 20-off-70 type of knock where he works out where his off stump is and keeps his bat and pad close together

Chanderpaul really has to do something about the way he handles the short ball. He actually looks like he pulls the ball well, ie. he moves his feet well and often hits it quite well but doesn’t keep it down, and he also has trouble with deliveries on his hip that others just glance straight to ground. He doesn’t seem to be able to angle the ball fine or to ground, he plays them with a straight bat and inside edges them
