I’d hold that thought in the view of Crazy’s club. My mail is the support of Caz was coming from one person at Maine, and it wasn’t in line with the wider clubs view. That person is either no longer involved with the club, or if not yet, will very soon be no longer involved.

I’m assuming you are referring to the former president who also has a family connection to Sandhurst
I heard today there was a bit of a push from the footy department to leave it all alone and get on with playing footy

Could it be a tactical shift? Let the status quo remain, league continues to fall to pieces - making it an easier sell to their members in 12-24 months time that a move to another league is easily justified?

Castlemaine wont be able to leave, unless they've made a pact with the board, theyll leave when 4 clubs come in.

There would be a number of under the table deals provided to clubs to keep the same board.

The league desperately needs new leadership and new board members and a ceo who understands the wider footy landscape

As I said the other day, from the outside I can see that Gisborne and Eaglehawk have issues with the chair and board that need to be resolved.

But what is Flat's problem? And why are South part of it? According to all on here they're the 2nd most advantaged club behind Sandhurst this season. Strange they're biting the hand that feeds them?

Gisborne and Eaglehawk have genuine grievances that need addressing.

Whats Flat and Souths problem? According to those on here South have been well looked after so why are they upset?

If Eaglehawks grievance is ONLY what was said on grand final day then that’s more of a personal agenda and does not have the big picture in mind. . I would love to hear why they are pushing so hard for change and whether they have anything else but their own self interest in mind. .

Maybe trying to stack the deck with Burra sympathisers in order to put a halt to any talk of Maiden gully or marong coming into the league. .

Im not sure big dekka is part of the tin foil hat conspiracy, and he thinks the league is in terrible shape, like many many long time bfl followers. Kangaroo flat have been non existent an a club since he left over 20 years ago. They are the only league in the state that refuses to share finals, the standard is significantly poorer than 20 years ago, yet bendigo is far larger in population in that period.

Brodie filo prefers to play in the o&m than bfl, one of the best home grown talents the league has seen in 20 years, he could get paid well here too, i think says where the comp is and where its heading

Personal agenda? Own self-interest?
Are you suggesting all other clubs, regardless of which side of the various debates they sit, are acting with the big picture in mind?
I'd suggest there's a fair percentage with only their own interests at heart.

Eaglehawk had him back in 2019 and it didn’t end well, they have done fine without him. Good on him for choosing to play in arguably the premier vic league outside of Melbourne. You complain just as much as the Castlemaine fellas

You must be south's only supporter. Ive got no problems with getting recruits, if other clubs get done for salary like Dimboola for flying guys in, why should others not be treated the same?

3 guys is a lot bigger salary to fly down as opposed to one, and if we have a points system, make the deductions public early. I can assure you plenty of clubs were surprised with the points allocated to certain south players without the league making a statement and the league giving them really no explanation. None of that is south's fault, but the league needs to be transparent with their decisions like other leagues are.

Maybe ive turned into a grimpy old bugger though, but the way the ovens and murray operates as a league is head and shoulders above bendigo and bendigo should be aiming to copy what they do.

I dont think there'd be a massive difference in what clubs are paying in the leagues but the difference in standard has plenty to do with the governance, youve got the ex league gv chairman saying the gv needs to look at the om, why isnt bendigo?

Maybe ill be proven wrong in interleague

Not a south supporter at all, just enjoy seeing a side outside the big 5 trying to shake things up so for that they have my backing. I applaud Castlemaine for their big signings too, I think they are still a fair way off the mark but good on them for not lying down. Can’t argue at all with you about the governance of the league and even the quality, O&M miles above Bendigo. My biggest issue is the double standards on here, ovens and Murray is better than Bendigo for many reasons and one of them is bigger spending. Simple.
