Really? It was Chiesa who should have been the one guy left back during an attacking corner?

Due to his size, yes. He appeared to be the one tasked with staying back guarding their forward by the look of it.

IF he positioned himself on half way there wouldn't have been a threat but to his credit he absolutely busted his gut to get back and block the shot after Ali was rounded. That is effort and determination right there, something lacking in the last couple of months.

I guess. But he's a forward and is not forward for a corner.

Chiesa might have saved Slots job there
I know right. The guy that Slot hates to play while actually in good form. actually plays a part in saving the game and potentially Slots job.

Not to worry, Slot will turf him to the bench again next match.

I think Slot is trolling the fan base.

The tactic when we fall behind - let's just throw every attacker on the pitch and hope for the best. Absolutely crazy.

Our corner routines are boring and predictable. Teams must love defending them against us.

I still see very little interplay between the front 3.

Based on what I have seen I think the only player Slot wanted was Isak And he truly loves Gapko like a son and that is about it.

I think Kerkez, Wirtz and Ekitike are all Hughes/Edwards.
He really is a limited coach. Has so few tactics, doesn’t adjust the team to play to its strengths, and it rubs off with his assistant coaches.

I want him gone just so that any new coach can bring in soneone with half a brain focusing on dead ball situations rather than the current brilliant strategy of hitting it into the box and hope for the best.

maybe dutchman Arne hates italians

We sold 2 forwards, suffered the tragic loss of another, bought 3 forwards at great expense, and for periods we struggle to score.

I'm happy we appear to be defending better. But the attack needs to click at the same time for us to be where we want to be.

It's difficult to see him getting us out of this. I want him to be the one to turn us around, we just seem so clueless atm. I understand Sunderland are in good form and difficult to break down, it just looks so bleak. Sunderland playing out from the back with minimal pressure and doing nearly as they pleased in the first half shat me to tears. Teams have so much confidence at Anfield right now, they should be absolutely shitting themselves at the thought of playing there.

Just stubborn. Hasn’t really adapted this season, at all.

Diaz, Nunez leaves and he is so close minded in what Wirtz, Isak and Ekitike can do. They just come in and pushed into the same roles as those that left.

**** I wish we go Alonso instead. He got the max out of Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen.

According to certain parts of the web, alonso is dead to Liverpool. He played for the enemy and is even managing them.

At the end of the day, not all managers are like Jurgen who can stay for nearly 10 years, sometimes you get a manager, he wins a league, then he's shit the next season, you switch to another manager, they win one, then they turn crap, then the next one. It's the way big clubs do it unless they have a unicorn for manager

Arne won the league, he's already a success, he turned crap, well thank you next, that's just the way football works. I just don't see how he can turn it around
