I've been wiped out since Monday. It's brutal.

I was thinking it might have been from the car race. I was there for 3 days.

I spent Tuesday going in an out of consciousness, like a full on delirium.

Flu a couple of weeks ago, bit of a lingering cough. Bones on the right side of my chest hurt a bit when I cough.

I resisted spotify for a long long time, loved me pirated music and me missus.

But it's genuinely good. Great algorithm to find new stuff, easy interface, all those hard to find songs are on there, available on all devices and your car. Whats to hate really. Even the app itself is lightweight and no bloatware.

Plus podcasts, I dont listen to any myself but thats another one

I also enjoy seeing peoples wrapped generally, so long as they arent ****ing swifty/carpenter/the weeknd/ed sheeren vanilla types. Mine even said I listened to 115 genres lol. Don't be miserable I reckon, the variation is cool. Even the people who posted theirs so far has some good variety among us.

Only thing I dont like, i think bass in general isnt as crisp/punchy from spotify as the real deal but meh.

For someone like edgie who exclusively listens to australian piss rock, I guess there isnt much point as he has the 50 songs he will ever listen to.

A comfortable majority of the rock/metal versions of the Goldeneye soundtrack were low quality when I was searching for it on someone else's account.

It seems anyone can upload just any old slop on to spotify.

I'm not a fan of their supporting genocide policy, or the running ICE ads in the US, or paying the artists 0.0000005c per stream. So I tried tidal. The sound quality IS better, but pretty much everything else is worse (layout, recommendations, playlists, no podcasts, REALLY bad at dealing with artists with the same name, streaming/buffering in the car sucks, etc).

So I guess I'm sticking with Spotify. I do spend a fair bit buying albums on vinyl and going to see bands live, so at least I'm supporting the artists that way

If enough bands boycott Spotify then I guess I'll try something else, but I'm not gonna miss a few king gizz Wizz lizz fizz albums

Spotify is good for convenience but I'd never want to be 100% reliant on it.
Still happy to hold on to my crates of CDs and vinyl.
I know it takes up space but who cares? Same with movies. People are so into this culture of streaming/renting absolutely everything and never owning any of it.

I dunno it's not like I'm a closed book but I don't get the desire of people to constantly need to seek out new things. Fair enough with making art and performance and I don't want to discourage people from creating new things, and those people need a market, I just don't have a desire to seek it for seeking sake. It's something of a microcosm of the culture of consumerism and need of constant growth of which I detest.

But you know, I listen to radio, most of it sucks and the rest I have already heard, but a while ago they played this, which is new, and I was in to it and sought out more from the band.



It found me, mate. I'm comfortable with who I am. I don't need to add anything extra, I don't need to go looking for new stuff. Anything worthwhile will have a way of finding me.
