Do you actually believe that? He's cant lift his arms. Every mark he had to go for looked like it completely buggered him. Even running to the bench at times that arm wasn't moving while his other was swinging.

He's in a world of hurt, by no structural damage theyre probably just saying no broken bone. Theres clearly some other major issue, whether it's a busted AC joint or some capsule issue, either way, hes in a world of it and being pushed through/risked.
have you actually even watched JHF play over the years? if you have then you would of seen on many occasions where he was moving/running and not moving that arm but moving the other arm.

I understand where you're coming from but the reality is, you're wrong on this. Would he be in a slight discomfort still? possibly, yeah, but to the exaggeration point you're suggesting, no. Even a minor small arm/shoulder injury can still linger for more than a week but it doesn't mean it's severe or something worse then you or us have been told. He's fine.

Let's bring in a 3rd ruck and see what a triangle of doom can achieve. Maybe we can get 25 hitouts and 10 possessions between 3 players instead of expecting a mere 2 players to shoulder that load
I’d be all for this, as long as there was a webcam set up live-streaming Schulzenfest when he reads the changes

Yeah I'm not too sure - Carlton came good in the last quarter and they probably have more of a point to prove - it's all the Vic Media have talked about for the past 24 hours. After watching our game yesterday we were putrid. I haven't heard anyone else comment on Butters not going for goal and deciding to kick it sideways to (?) maybe Drew? SPP taking out his own team mates...twice, Burton jogging 10 metres behind the contest, and Georgiardis stopping Rozee's goal from going through. We were laughable. I'm not sure if we have the mental fortitude to pull it together by Thursday.
The media have spent the last 20 years piling pressure on carlton doesn't seem to make a difference. If there is one club who has done things worse than us and are worse culture wise than us in that time it's Carlton they have gone thru a host of coaches who haven't been able to get the club going including 2 premiship coaches in pagan and Malthouse who had their reputations ruined by Carlton.
Yes we can potentially lose if we turn up like we did on Saturday but my feel is that we will rock up and play this time around in the tradional Kenny way. Regardless the club that loses Thursday could have a media conference on Friday I suspect

One thing is for sure, Carlton will come out all guns blazing. Will we be caught out is the question.
Is the Pope a Catholic?

We should have known Sydney would come out all guns blazing. They started the push and shove before the first bounce.
Our blokes just looked at them like deer in headlights, and let them continue to boss us around all game.

Will we get caught out?
More chance of that than me being elected PM 😒

Post match interview by the winning teams best on fields going to be sickening.

"Yeah we just love coach, he's like a father to us. Tucks us in at night, reads us bedtime stories with a cup of hot cocoa, then goes and shags our mums. We love him and we did it for him tonight. The criticism and pressure he was under this week was unfair and those outside the club don't know what goes on behind the scenes. I love you coach, all the boys do, we just can't go on without you."

Their #14 was giving Georgie a real tough time, pushing & shoving him while Sweet just watched. it’s a pity that the goal umpire doesn’t have a whistle

ruined? haha spending well paid pointless time at Carlton did confirm their time was up in the game... but to be fair one-trick Pagan only had his reputation confirmed by his time there, even with a list completely nobbled by their own doing, while Malthouse had enough credit in the bank to be untouchable in that regard no matter how ineffectually cranky he got.

as for "if we turn up" and "spending well paid pointless time" I wonder how much pressure our Kenny is piling up on the boys this week by talking up Carlton. "It's a tough game..."

whoever loses the game and wins the "Mediocrities Cup" definitely should have a media conference on Friday, but that would kinda defeat the purpose of winning the title, hey?

Finny stays. One of Dante or Sweet must go. Probably Sweet. Those suggesting we rush Luko back in or persevere with JHF's one remaining shoulder ligament (if things really are that bad) Or Ollie's knee are missing the lack of any real point to winning this game at the cost of aggravating injury. One of Mead or Mani has to go, much as I like Mani's story it's probably him this week. I have no idea who for, Jackson? And can we please bring in Allir for Burton - those hanging all of Amartey's marks on Sav are missing the missing Allir in our backline.

Well, I have zero faith in our medical team - so no, I don't fully believe that. BUT they have far more information available to them than you and I do, so I'll go with what they say for now.

the problem is Sweet was pretty ordinary the week before too.
Dante has had a tough run of fixtures (and it continues). Jackson, Gawn, Grundy and now TDK. Physically he must be feeling it, and likely mentally too.

But it goes to show the level/quality of rucks out there, and we've been stuck with a subpar ruck for a good 5 years now. Lycett was great when he came to us, but fell away badly due to injuries.

Sweet was solid for half a season last season, and what a difference it made for us. But imagine having a top quality ruck.

No Vic media watched the [non-Victorian] game other than the commentators, that's why. The Last Crack gave the game 5 minutes fawning over how good Sydney are with a full team, Sunday Footy Show the same but barely 90 seconds. SPP was highlighted on Bounce though, because it was so hilarious obviously.
Yep and Sydney are suddenly a sneaky chance to make the 8? I reckon most afl journos feel robbed of the opportunity they've lost by the club saying Kenny will keep his job this year - it's cost them column spaces of speculation as theres nothing to write about, thank god Vossy's been able to help them out.

Two rucks more likely than not.

The opposition ruck has been close to BoG for the last 3 weeks. Two of those weeks, we've played two rucks.

We should just give up on trying to nullify the ruck and play one ruck, at least then we aren't essentially a player down. It's such a crap situation we're in though - Bring in 2 rucks to contend for the number 1 role, and neither are close to good enough. Not having a forward that can chop out in the ruck further exacerbates the problem.

Again I DONT GET IT!😉
It’s a 1960’s thing, it’s so out dated, most probably the worst idea you could go in with in 2025.

Was the reply, Never heard of him?

He was jumbled up in the general tumble dryer of players who might not have performed quite to standard expected.

It is hard to get excited about this game. Lose and it is season over. Win... it is still pretty much season over sitting multiple games outside the eight with an awful percentage and the majority of games on the run home after this against sides currently sitting in the top half of the ladder.

Hilarious we're going to play 2 rucks again.

Kens reasoning was that we've seen 1 game where it worked, 1 where it didnt, so he's going to back the players in again.

The fundamental problem with that though is the players themselves. They don't have the skills, the nous, or the physical traits to work in a dual ruck setup. You could get lucky and they could play ok for 3-4 weeks in a row. It doesn't matter because it'll inevitably fall over at some stage.
