Exactly, Manock did not do histopathology.

Even if tissue had been looked at under a microscope, the state of decay RK was in after two weeks exposed to the elements in the scrub to the point of really significant tissue and fluid loss, making the call he'd been frozen at any point, interpretive at best.

When Manock called time of death, there was no way to change it. The prosecution was locked in to prosecuting the case against BVE around it and promoting the idea RK must have been held by accomplices at a different address for weeks.

No doubt BVE was responsible but they were lucky to get a conviction for murder IMO.

Louis Masgay​

On September 25, 1983, the body of 50-year-old Louis Masgay was discovered near a town park near Clausland Mountain Road in Oranngetown New York, with a bullet hole in the back of his head. Masgay had disappeared over two years earlier, on July 1, 1981, the day he was to meet Kuklinski at a New Jersey diner to purchase a large quantity of blank video cassettes for which Masgay had $95,000 in his van.[2] After another plea bargain, Kuklinski admitted to shooting Masgay.[30]

His body had been stored in a freezer, then disposed of in the park fifteen months later.[2]

However, Kuklinski did not thaw the corpse before he dumped it. He also wrapped it in plastic garbage bags, which kept it insulated and partially frozen. The Rockland County medical examiner found ice crystals inside the body on a warm September day.

If the body had thawed before discovery, the medical examiner stated he probably would never have noticed Kuklinski's trickery.[38]

This was posted previously on here & I thought to repost because if true RK was kept alive for a period of time & not murdered within a day or so of being abducted.

RK was a high profile victim. I believe the only reason BVE didn’t get away with it was because of the severe media attention. The public outrage, plus Mr B’s statement meant the police were practically obligated to arrest him. And they only just got a conviction by the skin of their teeth with the carpet fibres.

This is something I have firmly believed for years, RK being the son of a prominent newsreader definitely put pressure on SAPOL to arrest BVE.

Did Manock have his fingers in the forensics for this one? Cannot trust any of his testimonies as far as I could throw him.

Mr. R fully cooperated with the police and was forthcoming making a statement. They had no evidence he was involved.

A big mistake was made IMO on Kelvin's time of death, called by the proven time and again, incompetent Colin Manock.

I think Kelvin died at the house in Paradise of an overdose, before von Einem had to go back to work. He was put in a freezer for a few weeks so von Einem could then carry on as normal, creating alibi.

I swear that Manock is one of the reasons it is difficult to get a job within forensics in South Australia. He made an absolute mockery of the discipline.

Difficult? He should have made it easy, any properly graduated person with the proper qualifications is surely more intelligent than him.
Also, I am confused about how he knows that one of the boys drowned in the home pool of a QC lawyer in the Adelaide hills (he said it in the interview with Debi Marshall in her book). However there is no other documentation of this evidence anywhere that I can see. Is he just making up rubbish?

Agreed - many of her claims now, as in the past, do not align with independently established facts. However, the police have also been making claims - of guilt for multiple murders - for the past forty years, seemingly without any evidence of substance. Our Premier has also publicly attributed multiple murders to VE, again, in the absence of sufficient evidence to enable charges to be laid or sustained. So scepticism is justified - for the stories on both sides.

Yes, he was sweet to certain people, but it is a worry that someone who claims to have such a strong sixth sense can’t see through this.
