Huge fan. Can’t fault this. Massive personal bias however.
HJs front and back. 🤝🏻
I've never been one for the blue collar and cuffs, but I vibe with this. The weird collar is less noticeable and it does look clean compared to the half gold half blue collars we've had for a long time and when side by side to last years it's an improvement. That HJ's on the collar though is disappointing, the collar is for manufacturers only period.

Seems like it flew under the radar here (not too surprised tbh...) but GWS'es 2026 kits including training are on their store but nothing to note with the home kit, same old there.

But our Clash gurensey got some nice little logos embedded into the jumper along with a new (and frankly not great looking) away kit. Not too much else to note really but second year running they've shadow dropped these onto their store with little fanfare on socials... 1000019340.png

Feel like they're both overengineered.

White cuffs entirely unecessary, and the background pattern adds nothing to an awesome kit :(

Eaglws when they unveiled Alianz as colllar sponsor, they also had one of the girls in a NB AFLW kit. So it’s probably safe to day Eagles girls will be in New Balance.

Get rid of that ugly HJ’s sponsors tho 🤮

Are all these sponsors offering up more dollars in the middle of their contracts to fill that spot?

Some insight into the economics would be interesting, especially for the clubs that are adding the same sponsors in that spot as the ones already on the back.

The last O’N contract between them and the Crows finished at the end of the 2025 season.
When the HJs 5yr contract extension that goes 2026-2030 was signed mid last year the collar would’ve been part of the deal.
O’N have come back onboard for ‘26 & ‘27 so it’s a new contract for them.

the collar sponsors are inevitable. I’m

I wonder what would happen if say a club has a pre-existing collar sponsor but are trying to sign up a big apparel sponsor like the adidas and pumas.

I feel like clubs that have a collars sponsor might be stuck in a loop of signing apparel sponsors that sell off the collar spot.

Would this kill off tye bigger brands in the AFL? Or will it also force them to sell that spot off?

Completely guessing here but I'm pretty sure the collar space would be tied into the length of the apparel contract for the exact reason you've mentioned above.

I don't think it's a coincidence that West Coast and Adelaide both got new collar sponsors in the same season their apparel deals were renewed.

My educated guess would be that the manufacturer gets a discount on the overall fee for the sponsorship deal in exchange for the club being able to on-sell that space for the duration of the deal. Either that or they get a percentage of the profits that the club earns from selling that space.

That Toyo logo on the grey jumper might genuinely be the biggest front sponsor I’ve ever seen. Rather than just removing the blue background they’ve decided to stretch the text to the full bounding limit. Smart from a marketing POV but shit from an aesthetic one.
