So we have two Muslims who allegedly trained with ISIS (the first I is for Islamic) that attacked a Hannukah event.
But it's not nothing to do with religion.

As was the case when gun laws were introduced under Howard. Conservatives politicising deaths is quite pathetic but not surprisingWhich is precisely why normally it's a bi-partisan approach to calm things down, not inflame them.
I call that sensible policy, all elements you mentioned arent mutually exclusivePopulism? According to our PM the Australian position is that we support Israel and supply military exports and are against antisemitism but also we want a ceasefire and recognise a state of Palestine. Pick a lane m8.
Except the polls make it clear that it’s not very popular at all. Not amongst those who will decide the government in city House of Reps electorates. It's populism. Nothing redeeming about it.

If it wasn’t for Howard’s gun laws that death toll in Bondi would be 100s.Wasn't it John Howard that left all these loopholes in the gun laws?
Howard let the guy into the country. If it wasn’t for Howard’s gun laws that death toll in Bondi would be 100s.
Albo has always been an antisemite… all the way back to his university days. What I’m still trying to get my head around…
We all agree this incident was caused by radicalisation…. And we all agree anti semitism (and islamophobia) and other forms of vitriolic hate are abhorrent….
So why are is the government response to this not focused on ending radicalisation, extremism (white nationalism, Islamists etc), anti semitism, Islamophobia etc? Why aren’t they pouring everything they have into it? Because if we can sort that then the problem is fixed.
But instead the main outcome of this is more gun control, not a peep about anything else. So the 999,998 other firearms owners who are vastly responsible, wise, accountable, all have to pay a debt of their liberties.
Let me be clear I am not opposed to some tightening of gun laws… but when that’s the front page of the response from our government…. It deeply concerns me that it is reactionary and misguided… because if ending radicalisation in this country is not the overwhelming focus then I’m afraid we will absolutely see this happen again.
Albo has always been an antisemite… all the way back to his university days.
He didn’t call Bondis massacre Islamic terrorism either…He didn’t say anything antisemitic …

What would you like him to do? Have religion specific laws?He didn’t call Bondis massacre Islamic terrorism either…
In fact he went on with some rant about right wing violence.
My brain hurts.Condemning military is anti-semitic?
Military is not religion mate.
Yeah, that was cooked, but this old footage is hardly damning. He didn’t call Bondis massacre Islamic terrorism either…

Whenever Jews are murdered, antisemitism presents in the same ways. Either it actually didn’t happen, or they had it coming, or they orchestrated it and were pulling the strings the whole time.Best not go down the rabbit hole of promoting whacko false flag theories from random social media bloggers looking for clicks, eh.

If zionism is political ideology, not religious ideology... then is anti-zionism political as well?
Not saying they aren't religious, but this might be politically motivated. Either way, they are still terrorists.
Which reminds me, has anyone bothered to check old mate Warren Tredrea so see if he's posted about this tragedy on his podcast.Whenever Jews are murdered, antisemitism presents in the same ways. Either it actually didn’t happen, or they had it coming, or they orchestrated it and were pulling the strings the whole time.
Antizionism is just the "N-word" of antisemitism.
Every Islamic terrorist attack in the West is politically motivated because the politics of the West are not the politics of Islam. The West is for the most part secular. It's a bit of a semantic argument whether motivations are religious or political because they intertwine.
ISIS is Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, sometimes Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. Is that a religious movement, a political movement, or both? Anyway it's a bit of a tangent but Islamic fundamentalists don't want to live in the secular West and freely practice their religion - they want their religion to be to take the place of the secular West.
Evil people? How are they evil people?Richard Marles asked point blank if they need to do something more about Islamic hate speech by Muslim Clerics in the West of Sydney. Mumbles about the Nazi salute as if that means anything to this context and refuses to answer the question.
This is the fundamental flaw with Labor politics they cannot and will not act to protect Australians for fear of being considered "racist".
They are despicable, evil people.
