There was no guesssing with this one, if I could elaborate on where the info came from I genuinely would, you'll just have to take my word on that aspect.

You could elaborate but you won’t because you’re trying to make out the judge gave you the “inside word” and said you could post it in bigfooty.

Lol

Saying that a lawyer mate that practices in criminal law gave you a calculated estimate doesn’t sound quite as good, does it Lucifer. And 6 to 8 years isn’t even that precise.

Nice try, though.

The guys life is going to be extremely hard after he comes out. He would be lucky to get a job at Woolworths stacking shelves. This is an extremely public case and no employer would take a risk on a high profile sex offender any time soon.

The sentence I feel is about right without knowing the details and evidence etc
Agree. Everyone has been hung up about the number of years but given the media content stays on the internet forever he's got a kind of life sentence in some ways.

At the same time, his family's wealth means his life will be as good as it can be for a convicted sex offender, when he gets out.

I got nervous when the Chemist Warehouse ad came on in the middle of the court broadcast, but at least some sense of justice prevailed

Where did his family get their wealth from? I know some pretty decent 90s afl players who made f all during their career.
Stephen owns a bunch of hotels and real estate, not to mention the coin from playing/list managing/Brand Power ads

So the victim rang Tom the next morning or he rang her whatever they spoke and with his girlfriend being friends with her he would have been aware those two communicating and the victims attitude.
13 days after the event she goes to the police.
Meanwhile Tom tries to forge Uber records, asked his friend to be an accessory after the fact and lie about his movements.
If he was falsely accused why didnt he tell his parents?
Better than average chance they wouldn’t have encouraged him to manipulate the receipts or a family friend.
I find it hard to believe the police would’ve arranged a ph call between the two of them on the day she walked in the cop shop and Tom’s parents/lawyers would have encouraged him to talk shit in a ph conversation.
That’s not what I’d expect an innocent person who’s shitting himself about being falsely accused of rape would do.
So for two weeks at least he tried to finesse, manipulate and manage her and the situation without any regard for the consequences to him or his Parents and every family member.
I just can’t get that level of arrogance and I’m pretty happy about that.

Sounds like a shout out to those old MasterCard ads. Maybe they need a new one:
Trying to pay off a rape victim so they won't press charges: $1M
Paying for your rapist son's legal fees: $3M
Living with the shame and embarrassment of being parents of a convicted rapist: priceless.
For everything else there's MasterCard.
Yeah the old priceless ads

Correct.

If you have party wake up and a girl in another room who stayed over accused you of raping her would you instantly try and doctor Uber receipts. What a moron.

He also expected his mate to cover for him saying it was him who went into the room.
Yep he’s a massive idiot and a rapist

Good luck in jail
