I’ll tell you right now a one year old and four year old do not care one iota, they want to see both parents. Both parties need to work through the separation with as minimal impact on the kids.

Don't disagree with this but do we even know how present or well equipped Lachie is as a father? Also they may be one and four but if Lachies behaviour was to continue through their childhood that sort of instability can have a real heavy negative affect on children and how they view relationships going forward, both romantic and platonic. No-one in here knows the ins and outs of their relationships and parenting or what the kids need/want. Having grown up with a dickhead father who stuck around "for the kids" im telling you its not always the best thing.

Who knows it may turn out alright in the long run but having your kids in another state is going to be tough. There is never a good time but it's the worse time for an AFL player to divorce at the back end of their careers. The plan is to set yourself up for life financially.
