Absolutely no one did this. At most people misinterpreted your words and responded as such.

Take a breath mate, it’s just the internet.
"You've repeatedly been implying there's more to it than what was presented in court."

Blatant lie.

An absolute embarassment and a dark stain on the proud history of BigFooty.

You should have just apologised.

My very first post on the topic specifically stated that the Silvagni's seemingly are implying there's more to it.

"THE SILVAGNI'S SEEMINGLY ARE IMPLYING THAT THERE IS MORE TO IT."

Now if you, or anyone else, are too thick and/or cretinous to understand that that literally means that in my view - THE SILVAGNI'S SEEMINGLY ARE IMPLYING THAT THERE IS MORE TO IT, then that's on you.

Not me.

Either you're thick, or you're discussing this in bad faith.

Either way, you should apologise
Your scenario that that the Sylvagnis are implying that there is more to it is very less likely that them simply not being able to get their heads around the situation.

There must be an echo in here?

"Either that, or they're just struggling to come to terms with and accept what has occurred - both in terms of what their son did, and the reality of the consequences of it."

I think the “more to it” is that her third child, her baby, has been convicted of a pretty heinous crime, and she’s losing her mind as a result. I think that’s actually fairly understandable to be honest. Not the parts where she’s glaring at the victim, but I wouldn’t want cameras or microphones shoved in my face either.

I’d be surprised if she doesn’t need some Valium to keep the hysterics at bay. She’s in an extremely emotional situation and lashing out - unfortunately for her, all of Melbourne is watching.

Tom looks like he’s taken the whole stash of Valium form Jo’s bathroom cupboard, eyes look like he’s on another planet far far away

Yeah it most likely is that, the glaring at the victim in open court is kinda brazen though, it is most likely the public scrutiny and the victim rubbing their faces in it on social media (which she is very much entitled do) has just gotten to her.
The evidence is so overwhelming clear cut to everyone, it’s just seems that no rational person could not see why he was found guilty.

Thank you for saying this.

I’m 30 now but remember thinking one day at 21, I don’t have a single female friend who hasn’t been sexually assaulted, harassed or been drunk and taken advantage of, myself included, and none of us have ever done anything about it, for a multitude of reasons. As we’ve gotten older we’ve become smarter in how to get ourselves out of situations, but we shouldn’t even have to worry about this in the first place.

I really hope that this is a wake up call to men. Attitudes need to change
One of my good female friends is 25 and her grandma just got her and her younger sister tasers for Xmas, and not as a joke

Reposting this because it’s true

I too, don’t know a woman who hasn’t been sexually assaulted.

Let that sink in. At least 3 women in this thread have said the same thing.

Yeah, I don't think Tom will be taunting other prisoners.
No but he will cop it hard in prison in terms of taunting.

you're private school boy clean skin that's had all this privilege and entitlement growing up and now you're about to be mixing in with some dangerous criminals from some of the harshest backgrounds in life. You are on equal level now.

He'll be someone's bitch.

The discussion was about him being targetted in prison for his crime.

Thanks for posting. As a man, I reflect on when I was iny 20s and still remember the way other men talked about courting women. I'll post a few below:
  • Don't take no for an answer
  • Cut one from the herd (this was in reference to bring on a night club dance floor and trying to isolate a woman from their friends to increase chances of hooking up).

Those two stand out but there were more. The language is predatory and this behaviour was normalised amongst young men.

I always found those terms odd, now I just find them deeply disturbing. No wonder women choose the bear.

As a high-profile rapist from a family with money, he will spend his days in a "Protection unit" - basically, he will be best mates with other rapists, pedophiles, and ex cops. He will come out with 6 years of learning about and normalising raping kids, the dark web and how to get away with it.
Prisons are a cesspool, they make offenders more dangerous and do the opposite of rehabilitation.

Oh well poor didums as far as I'm concerned could not give a flying you know about poor Tom who committed a shocking act. What happens inside happens, he can deal with it.

Whatever happens is STILL not even close to what the victim feels every single day.

Point blank there is only one person we should be caring about and it's not the predator who is incarcerated.
