An Adelaide lawyer has faced court over alleged child sex offences.

An Adelaide lawyer has left court after appearing in relation to allegations of child sex offences.



The man appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday in front of Magistrate Melanie Burton following his November arrest.



As he left court accompanied by his defence counsel, the man offered no comment to waiting media.



He was quickly ushered into a waiting vehicle, which then immediately drove off.



On Wednesday, Ms Burton remanded the man – who was represented by top Adelaide defence lawyer David Edwardson KC – on continuing bail to return to court in May.



He is yet to enter any pleas to his charges.

Got curious after researching. Stopped in to his shop. Tried to get him talking. Short, sharp, mean. Didn’t get anything from him other than his very clear instruction to not come back.

Hoping to get some thoughts on this.
When spoken to by police, SW stated along the lines of ‘I don’t have the skills to conduct such an operation’ in regard to Mark Langley. But he was a doctor working in the accident & emergency department at the Lyell McEwin Hospital.
To work as a doctor in that section of the hospital, he’d have to be pretty competent in his field. More so than the average doctor or GP would. In fact, wouldn’t the skills to conduct life saving measures of this nature be a requirement?
So was he just taken at his word? Believed without taking a closer look?
That seems really odd to me.

I don’t want this to come across as repeatedly questioning you, but did this nurse ever provide anything to confirm she is who she says she is, or that she actually worked at the Lyell? I’m not dismissing the theory, but given the era, it wouldn’t be difficult for someone to approach you with claims that can’t be easily verified.
I raise this because I know at least one person named in this thread currently follows your TikTok account, and if they went to that extent, it’s possible they might also embellish or fabricate stories to see what gains traction.
Just my thoughts.

Her boyfriend was murdered in '92 by Stephen Standage, who went on to kill another man John Thorn in 2006.
All very public.

Good question. Technically (it’s my understanding) that as a Magistrate RDB is/was not a member of the judiciary. That’s for Judges of the Distict Court and above.
You may have to ask John Barnes, although he has referenced various names previously in this thread.

From what she’s told me, she believes all the doctors worked full time rotations there. However, when she worked with him it was really only during the night rotations.
