I'm always gobsmacked to find players using the type of box on the left. When I started playing grade cricket over 30 years ago, I came across the type on the right and immediately started using it. Soooooo much more effective.

I'll show my age by saying I went to one of Jack Birkenshaw's coaching clinics back (way back) in the day. He referred to a box as an "abdo-guard". Never heard the term before or since.

This sounds like something you say to save face when you do poorly.

Would be like Fremantle fans saying they haven't won a flag because they "didn't want too anyway".

I suspect we would easily have more money and resources dedicated to T20 cricket than most teams at the World Cup, with the exception of India.

Our best players don't play that much of it. How many T20s would Head, Green, Inglis etc have played since the last IPL? And then by extension the best players in the BBL, eg Dwarshius, Renshaw don't have the experience against international calibre players.

Second point shouldnt matter against Zimbabwe though ffs.

Same old boys club selections.

Green, Maxwell, Stoinis, Dwarshius should be nowhere near this side, and Inglis shouldn't be opening the batting.
