Of all the meaningless stats in footy, average speed would get my vote for most meaningless. Most of the choppers running around the Tan at lunchtime today are doing it at an average speed greater than 9.4kmh.

I had concerns about his pace which were clearly misplaced - he showed a great deal of maturity and footy IQ last night to add to his skill. We definitely have a good one in Roan.

Was one of his better performances in his time in Collingwood so far.

Just needs to become more consistent.

His best is very good and he clearly belongs at this level.

Will probably take another year before he starts hitting his peak.

His best footy (which was on display in the first half yesterday) looks that level of good, too.

It’ll just take some time + experience and there’s hope he can become about that level of player.

Very Good Game Yesterday

Had an undercover very good year so far…

Very clean, quick, smart and great runner.. never makes a mistake..

Will have a 25 disposal 3 goal game soon, and the competition will sit up and take notice.

He's a nice clean player. But I think on this board he'll go from a pleasant surprise due to our expectations not being high to the new Lippa who gets shredded for his contest work once he's more settled in the team and our expectations haven risen - even though there will ahve actually been slight progress in his game during that time.

He's a nice clean player. But I think on this board he'll go from a pleasant surprise due to our expectations not being high to the new Lippa who gets shredded for his contest work once he's more settled in the team and our expectations haven risen - even though there will ahve actually been slight progress in his game during that time.

I meant less in the standing on heads part and more the way he pushes up deep inside the forward 50 at all costs, sitting front and square as an extra crumber.

I don’t recall us utilising a winger quite like that yet under Fly so it’s an interesting watch for mine, Steele’s development.
