Round 2, Bubble Week​

There are weeks in SuperCoach where you can sit back, sip your beverage of choice, and pretend you are a balanced adult who makes decisions slowly and rationally.

This is not one of those weeks.

This is Round 2, the week where the Opening Round boys are on the bubble. Not next week, not later, not “we will wait and see”, this week. The fake footy is over, the cash is about to become real, and suddenly everyone is a “long term planner” with data.

It's the classic SuperCoach trap week too. One part science, one part vibes, and one part you convincing yourself that a bloke with a new role is “locked” because you saw him stand at one centre bounce in the second quarter.

And just to keep things nice and calm, we have already lost some relevant soldiers.

• Errol Gulden has a shoulder dislocation and is set for surgery, expected to miss about four months.
• Hayden Young has been ruled out this week with a hamstring strain.
• Isaac Heeney came off with hamstring tightness, MRI showed no structural damage, he is listed as a test.
• Poo couldn't even get through one half of footy

The move this week is simple, even if the execution is not. Watch roles, watch minutes, watch who actually looks trusted, and remember that cash generation is not a theory anymore, it is about to hit your salary cap like a truck.

Good luck everyone. May your bubble boys survive selection, may your replacements not be a trap, and may your trade finger show just one ounce of restraint.

Well I surely dodged a bullet.

One of my final drafts had both Errol and Heeney at M3 & M4 before I decided to split them into 4 midpricers.

The SuperCoach gods both giveth and take with the same hand.

I can imagine someone having Gulden, Heeney and Young. You are probably better off deleting your team and remaking it now.
