Is anyone holding Kerch? Yes, he will be on limited minutes again, yes, he's named on the bench, yes, he's playing a half forward with few CBAs role, yes, he will drop cash... but there are actually worse players on my team.

Too many issues with him unfortunately - named on bench again and Clarko saying he'll build his TOG 'bit by bit'. They just had a big win and now play WCE which should be another win.

Parker and Daniel playing HB and LDU, Sheez, FOS getting the mid minutes. Just not sure where he fits in the team at the moment so good to get off whilst he's still not lost too much cash.

He might be a good pick up again at some point this year but that could be weeks/months away and probably depends on someone else getting injured or rested.

After spending most of the week seemingly settled on

Gulden to Serong
Windsor to B.Cook
($450k into next week targeting a Blakiston/Carroll upgrade to Houston)

Am now starting to doubt this plan, particularly.
1. Serong vs Merrett
The one I really like is Anderson, but can't trade into that bye. Merrett seems safer but is $100k more, which may impact my planned moves next week. It comes down to determining whether Serong's dip last year was a trend or something he can recover from and return to the 105 average he normally is. Tags remain a concern.

2. Windsor out vs Blakiston out.
Part of me wonders if I am being too harsh on Windsor after one game. I have a little faith that Blakiston can pull in a decent score this week (between 60 and 70).

I think Carroll's JS is ok for now. Stocker came in for Macrae, which makes me think that guys like Windhager & Sinclair will run through the middle more (Sinclair named on ball).

Gulden to Murdock
Uwland to Cook

Taking 869k into next week - which makes me uneasy but seems to be the play this week. Will have all the rookies I need.

Next week I guess it’s Blakiston to Naicos.

Debating Gulden to Jackson with a bit of DPP and not getting Cook - would still leave me with 620k to work with next week... thoughts?
If I go the double downgrde and grab both Murdock and Cook, I go into next week with 1.2 million..

Windsor --> Milera

Decided to fade Cook, already have Murdock and hoping T Marshall can bounce back. If Cook backs it up I'll consider but don't think he's a must have.

Have strong conviction on both Ash & Milera's role & draw. Trying to be aggressive and hoping to get a leg up on everyone else bringing in rookies.

Yeah, I guess I was curious about what was meant by the 'something else to do', I feel like most people have hit most rookies. The only alternative would be jumping early off someone like a Reid to Rankine, or a Richards or Windsor, but not sure anyone stunk the place out enough to justify a trade which means it's just about fixing up rookies.

The only alternative would be jumping early off someone like a Reid to Rankine, or a Richards or Windsor, but not sure anyone stunk the place out enough to justify a trade which means it's just about fixing up rookies.

I mean if you have to trade one, maybe Sharp if only because of his higher BE. Maybe Reid to Rankine then and back that he'll put up good numbers straight away?

More like there are surely other areas to fix, and then jump off Carroll next week due to the bye. Sharp's job security is ultra solid from all reports.

Grlj on field over Blakiston, Blamires on field for Naicos/Jagga/Tanner yeah? Bye fix up for the latter.

Otherwise no real complaints about that side even if I personally don't like the rookie R2 strategy. I see why you're trying to squeeze out someone for Murdock now, perhaps that can be solved this afternoon if we somehow decide to drop Murdock (he's currently on the extended bench for the Sunday game).

Fair call! I'm not so worried about the bye as have 22 playing, it's best 18, and rookies are scoring far better this year (mature age picks, better roles etc).

I'd only be concerned if I had 19-20 on field.

We might find Ash scores 30-60 points more than other premiums over the next few weeks anyway, then you have him after his bye as well.

May backfire but we'll see!
