So the scans are positive for Taj and he is back on the track, someone said they spoke and his is a couple of weeks off, (I assume main group training.)
Smillie last week was running 90% and has started kicking. So would have upped that this week.
Sims is back on the track making 'strong progress'.

What more do you want.... other than to see it actually happen. Cross fingers.

How vague

‘He’s doing a bit of kicking’

And we are seriously listing him as 4-6 weeks away from games.

As someone above just said, put it down as 6 and set everyone’s expectations back early and transparently.
Kicking is over rated

Dangerfield
Judd
Petracca
Cotchin
Grimes
Richo
Bailey Smith

Just off the top of my head
they all played games this bloke hasnt played at all

Funnily enough it genuinely is. All the best teams use forward handball to break the lines now. Smillie's debut statline:

32 handballs
3 kicks
1 tackle
Haven’t see a goal thats been handballed yet in all my years

In 4 to 6 weeks if he is fully recovered does Yze just throw him a seniors match to reward him for all his hard work?

Getting a bit sick of reports that tell us X player (usually Smillie) is back running or whatever and then they get injured again. Did they ever consider just doing the recovery in full before they start putting stress on their body. Sounds like every time we start building Smillie’s fitness he breaks down. How about we just let him get healthy and then start the fitness from scratch. It’s like they think we are in a hurry.

Also, is Smillie actually injured or is something else going on.
I'm no expert but for athletes they need to make sure the muscle can withstand the rigours of footy or whatever sport they are playing so the whole point of easing him back in slowly is an approach you will see in every sports code.
He would be fully healed but now it's all about building up the muscles strength. Considering he was out fot the majority of last year, had an operation and then had another set back on the eve of this season, it obviously isn't a straightforward process with him. Every body is different.
I'm optimistic that the timeline will start dropping in a linear fashion week on week, hopefully starting next week.
Like WTF happened with him , did someone drop a grand piano on his foot or something
Same injury that Will Day was battling with. Navicular injuries are known to be really difficult to come back from. Its ended a few careers. We gotta be patient with Sims I think. With that type of injury I'm happy for them to be as cautious as possible because a reinjury would end his season before it even begins.
