Salter is a 191cm 94kg key forward who plays for Eagles in SANFL. Super talented but there have been question marks over his want to play AFL. Got serious this year and had a great year. Looks a real talent. Quick, solidly built and do the special.

Boyle is a 184cm 84kg back pocket/flanker. There is a pic of him in the IF Draft edition. Looks very very well built already. Apparently had a great year last year but this year struggled with illness for most of the year.

He's a big boy thats for sure and would be just as valuable as a KP backman as a KP forward. I guess he will get a couple of years to prove his worth at SANFL level :thumbsu:

Seems he has decided he wants to play at the highest level and not just as a bit of fun on the weekend. Has all the natural ability, just needed to overcome that hurdle. Moving to Adelaide full time and accepting footy as a full time career has done him well. A good guy.

Its funny, I was just thinking this morning (before the draft, numbnuts) that we'd pick him up.

lets just hope its not a nathan ablett type scenario

What, we win a premiership and he retires at 21? I'll take the chance ... ;)

you got him, you bastards!

He can play.

I really do question his...well this mental toughness. He seems so slack, I think he is a gamble. But as someone said, its only a rookie draft pick, so in the end its a gamble almost everyone would be willing to take.

THats what rookie drafts are for I guess. If youre gonna take a risk on a bloke like Salter then its the spot to do it.

Its like any draft though. Everyone thinks eveyr pick they have is a gun but in reality they arent and most wont make it. Id be very happy if Salter performs good enough to get a 2nd year.
