i know that stat doesnt prove anything but people saying that federer lost cause he wasnt playing well is disgraceful .Everytime someone pushes federer people say the same thing. Why does federer has to be in career best form for people to acknowledge his opponents victory properly?

dead ***** right.

**** off federer had an off night, djokovic was playing too well and federer had to play even better than usual and he just couldn't do it. He went for to much, to often and it showed.

The two young guns Djokovic and Tsonga have made it to the final, and what'll tight battle this'll be...They'll both try and dictate the points without a doubt, but who will crack under pressure & who will take that match by the scruff of the neck and swing momentum their way ??
I'd say Djokovic will win in 4 sets, only because it seems he is a bit more of a reliable groundstroker and has a bit more experience than his rival Tsonga.... It promises to be an absolute cracker....!!
(Same with the Womens Singles Final but I can't be bothered typing any long posts tonight)

I haven't read the posts too closely but I don't think anyone was saying that.

Looks like they were just making an observation that Fed missed a fair few soft shots that you wouldn't normally expect. It will be a sad day when people can't express their views on a tennis match in fear of being accused of not acknowledging a win properly.

He was not allowed to play well, even John Mcenroe on Eurosport said it. As i said..nole served 6 double faults, does that mean he served poorly? ofcourse not.Federer was forced to take risks cause Nole was winning most of the baseline rallies.

Djokovic comes across as a bit of a smart arse (judging by Courier's post match interviews)... but I'll be supporting him in the final. Definitely a future #1.

He was relieved! My word, it was the biggest win of his career, he was still in shock, he was proud of his performance. Cannot believe anyone would say such a thing.

Could have sworn you were saying things along that line about Tsonga the other day...

all :thumbsu:'z up for NOLE... but federer was makin uncharacteristic errors..I even heard from seven's commentator Jim Courier, saying that "fed isnt really playing as he usually does "

BRAVO NOLE ZA POBEDU!!!:):D

Just back from the tennis. Friend called last night and said she had two free tickets :thumbsu:

Now, let me re-trace my steps:

Federer won't win tomorrow

You know he will.

All your posts are about Djokovic is going to beat Federer or Federer is overrated, you don't know anything about Tennis nor Federer.

You're an idiot. Where have I ever said that Federer is over-rated?

Link to one post where I have said that, come on, do a search.

You have me confused with TotalPower, Rafa's love child.

But yes, I do believe that Djokovic will beat Federer. So what of it?

Guess I was right . In the 3rd I was hoping Fed would take it to a 4th, but it wasn't to be.

Go Tsonga for the final!

Can't explain it, but my gut feeling says there is only two possible scenarios: Novak in three, or Jo-Wilifred in three. This one ain't going into a fourth set, yet I think either man can win.

Fed and Nadal not making the final is good for tennis.

Some may have predicted a golden slam for Fed this year, but there's every chance by the time he gets to Flushing Meadow he'll be 0/4.

And for those that didn't see, our two juniors Tomic and Moore both progressed to their respective finals.

bit sad to see fed not make it, i do quite like the guy. nice of him to share it around a bit though :p djokovic for the win, in four

very pleased the snapper (jankovic) didnt make the final, i've never much been a fan of hers and can't understand why she's so popular. sharapova to win, although i'd prefer if ivanovic won it

The stupid thing about the ranking system is that even though Nadal and Federer got knocked out at the same stage, Nadal gets ranking points and Federer loses them.
