Bit of spot fixing going on here with all these no balls...
No wonder the last few threw their wickets away

Let's get out there and start making money

Because chandimal didn't lie about his actions, change his story. Drag others Into it. Do a bs presser full of arrogance staring down the media stating he wouldn't step down, act like a sook for most of the preceding year and cultivate a wa*Ker atmosphere.....
Yes he did. He still won't admit he did it and stopped his team from entering the field for 2 hours of the next day in protest (along with team management). It was the definition of bringing the game into disrepute.

I stand corrected. F*ck the lying pr*ck then. Maybe third world countries news don't really influence me I guess. Oh well he's a lying flog too should be sacked for a year

Like some bowlers (Boland/Mennie), you can't just go off shield stats to select people. Burns isn't up to Test level and there's a good reason he wasn't selected at the start of the summer. Feel like he's just a placeholder for one of Bancroft or Renshaw to find form. I don't think Burns is going to England as anything more then a backup even if he scores a ton this series.

You have to as that's the only way they are getting selected. Then you have they take that next step.

Interesting then that the Cricket/ media world holds Sri Lanka to a lower standard. It's just those poor dodgy Sri Lankans? Shouldn't be expected to know any better? Not like the Australians who should be held to a much higher moral standard? Isn't that rather condescending and in many ways racist?

Not having a go at you by the way.....

Pujara lol
Shaun Marsh, Cartwright, probably a few other Western Australian batsmen. Seriously though, it seems like Australians who don't have the technique/grit don't shine there. Rogers and Renshaw (much smaller sample size) being more recent examples of what it takes to succeed. There were plenty in prior years but I think rule changes have made it more difficult to get a gig now.

The stance taken by Cricket Australia regarding ball tampering is one that, in the broader context of the game, needs to be emulated by the ICC and all other nation’s boards of cricket.

Ultimately it is pretty hypocritical for the governing bodies to crack down on match and spot fixing when it takes such a light handed approach to players who are cheating by tampering with the most important piece of equipment in the game.

This is the argument that Cricket Australia should be taking to the ICC (although if it were me doing it I would be doing it largely behind the scenes so perhaps it is happening).

Smith, Warner and Bancroft may well turn out to be the sacrificial lambs that reverse cricket’s slow descent into being a sport where every surprise result is viewed with deep suspicion.

Huge contrast

Australia look bog average against world class opponents.

Australia looks ok when playing below par opposition.

Cricket Australia will try to bring Sri Lanka over EVERY summer so they can paper over the cracks that are as large as the grand canyon.

Jog on campaigner.

I think it's the Mandela effect. You know the one. Berenstein/berenstain bears etc. In my mind I was totally sure he was not guilty m now I googled it. He's absolutely deadset guilty as sin. I think in my conditioned white liberal guilt mind no way a poor Sri Lankan could have done anything wrong. Wow it's definitely the Mandela effect. Steve Smith being white rich and a tosser stood no chance in the media. Chandimal deserved the exact same treatment

Agreed, Warne might carry on but at least he speaks his mind. Much prefer him to the typical Australian comments who just repeat old cliches and and never dare question a tactic or selection if it involves Australia.
Yeah, I think it's the same problem as when Chappelli would go and eviscerate Dhoni's tactics or something. Because nobody else in the box is willing to put their neck out and have an opinion they end up just kind of ranting into the void instead of having a discussion.
