I got a good topic to discuss. What are some "cult" movies you enjoy that are not considered mainstream and not talked about very often?

I really enjoyed "Cube". This was made a trilogy, but the first one was the most original and very unique for its time. It's a thriller/suspense/mystery movie, with some mix of gore.
When I was a lad my favorite cult movies as follows.
Warriors
Surf nazi's must die
Toxic Avenger
Rocky Horror
Battle truck
Cherry 2000
Blade Runner
Creepshow
Running man
Friday 13th
Mad Max 1
Late night movies at The Capri Cinema

I enjoyed the Toxic Avenger. I don’t mind watching Troma movies from time to time, good mindless oddball comedy!

Though I’d argue Friday 13th and Mad Max aren’t really classified as cult classics anymore. Anything that has a modern age remake and pretty much every movie watcher knows the general theme of the movie, then it’s more become mainstream than cult status.

Cult movies are movies that failed at the box office, generally failed to make a profit, savaged by critics .....but have a loyal group of admirers, that sees the movie lift in status many years after original release

I see “cult” definition more like religion. If you have certain numbers joining a religion then it gets to the point it’s become mainstream religion, and if smallish numbers remain, then it’s a cult religion.

Rocky Horror Show "movie" was one of the best cult movie examples

I think he means you should consider forgetting the extra cost that you've spent on gold class and go and see whatever movie you actually want to see
It was a gift.

Think what’s being said is .... save it till there’s something worthy of watching in Gold Class .... till then just watch whatever at normal rates

We used to go watch it every fourth Friday night at the Boulevard Blue and everyone dressed in costumes and threw toast at the screen!

Planning on watching 'Black Mass' about the Whitey Bulger Winter Hill Gang today with the missus, anyone else watch it?

Johnny Depp was great in it, but overall the film was a bit flat. Worth watching though (the book upon which it is based is a great read though)

Yes it was certainly watchable and enjoyable ......but hardly memorable

So many fitting this category these days
