What's your reasoning for Williams being a keeper and both Roberton and Smith not? I actually think Roberton/Smith are perhaps the easier to justify because you know they are going to appreciate significantly in value..
Williams averaged 94 in 2017 ....was injured most of 2018, but came back in the Finals, with you'd say limited game fitness

Roberton also had most of 2018 off .....but remember he plays for St Kilda :p .....no. but seriously his last 3 games (forget the 4th) was just average .....so Roberton not a bad pick at the price, but as a stepping stone, whereas I can see Williams as a final D5 or D6 keeper

Smith from my team, the Crows, again is one of those mid-price players with "meh" scores ......has only had one good season SC wise and is not even in my thinking

Thanks, that's pretty sound advice. I think I have room for only one of Smith or Roberton, and am thinking Roberton at this stage

That would be my choice as well ;)

Anyone know how much of a difference the new kick in rules will make to scoring? Points were already given for kick-ins weren't they?
They were only given if the players kicked to themselves first.
Now they don't have to do that, and the kick will count once outside the square. A handball will count even inside the square The man on mark now has to be further back too.
So more points on offer given the ease of playing on, particularly to those who took a lot of kick ins but didn't play on much. But also to players who did play on a lot, as they'll now do it more often.

I dont think anything has been confirmed yet, but I was told players already got points for kick ins last year, it just didnt go to the players disposal tally. It would explain why Lloyd scored absurdly high, he was outright #1 for amount of kick ins.

My gripe with Dimma used to be that there was never a plan B.
But then he got a few new heads around him, like Caracella, and they just made the plan A really good so plan B didn't matter anymore, well, most of the time lel.
Yeah, he was the poster child for sticking with your coach and evaluating the group around him. We did something similar and whatever the reason was Buckley turned it around, and it looks like the Saints are prepared to try it with Richo initially.
Think Tiges are likely to retain standing this year, reckon we'll drop off tbh and wouldn't go any of our mids to start.

All just guesswork, but I think it will balance out overall. Defenders will all play on slightly more often, so will score more there. But the ball will hit the forward line quicker with more one on ones, so less intercept marks for defenders and less chance for R50s, so they'll lose out there a bit.

Breakout, high draft pick, Rising Star winner, could he play Hanners possie and find 10/15 SC points?
Also with Kennedy now in his mid 40's their midfield needs freshening up. Bob Irwin and Mills should both spend large chunks in there.

Hasn't even given us a hint he can do it ....add on 12 months out of the game, with an ankle that wouldn't have allowed him to run

That's a No from me

Seen a few people with Mills from the swans.
What’s the reason behind that?

We have heard all this before with him. Just ask NSWCROW

Mills locked now that Blakely is gone

All depends on if he gets midfield time , even then it'd be risky IMO.

Also can't guarantee he won't hurt himself kicking the dog - getting out of bed - fapping in the shower and slipping over - kicking a football again.

He broke his ankle May last year, but agreed it will affect his tank/fitness but surely 10 measly SC points wouldn't be out of the question to make him a good pick? Kid has some good talent plus his Family were involved in the WAFL club i support so am a little bias.
