Same path as what happened to Groupie. It would be hilarious if these changes backfired and made us even better.
What would they do then?
Doubtful.Anyone seen Moore play further up the ground? ie. wing

there are anti richmond powers hidden everywhere in the footy worldLol doesn’t make sense
If ever there was any doubt it is now gone.Well, well, well...

“What we’re hoping is it brings Richmond back to the pack a little bit.”
The "Whateley fight for relevance" rule
Couple's with Steven Hocking saying " we don't want repeat entries "If ever there was any doubt it is now gone.

Sack the coaches if we ever do thatLol as soon as the balls bounced we can move two extra players into the backline , it will a matter of seconds for it to happen . AFL are so ******* dumb .
I've said quite a few times since the rules were brought in that it would take us a while to adjust to them because of the way that we've played over the last 2 seasons and many a poster has laughed that off saying that it was sides like the Pies and Dees that would be the ones because they used spare men behind the ball more than us.Well, well, well...

How sure are you of this claim. Last year when we played with 2 extra off the back of the square we didn't concede a score. Without the pressure of defensive midfielders running in off the back of the square opposition midfielders getting a clean clearance will have an open F50 to deliver the ball into. As good as our back 6 are they aren't going to stop everything. This could backfire badly for the league and actually create the opposite effect to what they may have thought
* We have the best backline in the league with both height & Pace Astbury - Rance - Grimes - Vlastuin -Broad - Houli
Capable on stopping any foward line in the event of quick entry.
We're not going to have 4 fast small crumbers inside F50 if we're lining up with Jack Lynch and Caddy, we may not even have 3 of them.* We have the best foward line with 2 x Gun KPF in Jack Riewoldt & Tom Lynch who are both unbelievable both in the air and on the ground as well as a '3rd' tall Caddy who kicked 46 goals last year who is strong and has great hands and is a very smart foward
* 3/4 super fast small crumbers that are defensively minded and hound their defenders into panic at every opportunity to work at the feet of the 2 main KPF and Caddy
No doubt our gut runners cover plenty of ground, but Usain Bolt would struggle to get from the wing to inside D50 after the bounce before the ball entered if their is a pretty straight forward clearance. As I said the lack of pressure coming off the back of the square means more opportunity for that to happen.* We have gut running outside runners in Ellis , McKintosh , Short , Grigg , Lambert that run up and down all game to help out their defenders or create for the fowards*
As it said in that article Richmond used the 6-6-6 set up less than any other team in the league at just 3% while the league average was close to 40%. I'd suggest that those teams that used 6-6-6 more regularly will be much quicker to adapt to the changes and better placed to exploit them. Not saying that we won't adapt, but as I said above there were some major changes both on and off field this summer which will mean a period of adjustment and as some of the players have said, it's all well and good training with the new set ups, but until you get into game situations there is not way of knowing how well we've got it sorted.* Champion data also ranked our Midfield as the 2nd best in the AFL , So if all this is correct then Richmond will be the team thats winning the ball at entering the foward 50 more than any other team and tha handicap of the 6 - 6 - 6 Rule will be handicapping the teams that play Richmond more than the Tigers
I'm looking forward to it as well, but seemingly with a bit more apprehension than it would seem most on here are.I am soooo looking foward to 2019

It’s only for centre bounces anywho
Just get one of our midfielders to jump on the ball and cause a ball up and the defence can set up however they want
Which is what we do anyway, amazing how people mistake our poor general clearance numbers with having poor centre clearance numbers. If we win centre clearances then we have nothing to worry about anyway .
They screwed themselves with #3 tho, we not too bad at ctr clearances which is when 6-6-6 comes in, around the ground we can still set up 8-6-4 tho that will be Whateley's big sook for this yr no doubt. In all seriousness the Journo's need to know thier place, They are there to report the news not be the news & let those in charge of the game do thier jobs. For example with the Superbowl on this week so we all know which annual debate is going to flare up again...Couple's with Steven Hocking saying " we don't want repeat entries "
Make no mistake these tweaks were as a result of us winning the flag and then not having a hangover like everyone had hoped just as Caddy said after one of our games.
Lets go through this shall we.
1. We find ways to get around the ruck situation by having medium sized pinch hitters.....nek minnet rucks can grab the ball which means Nank can too. Idiots
2. We get repeat entries by pushing up hard on the kick out...nek minnet kick outs can just play on which means Shorty can too. Also means the oppo backs have to shift up the ground slightly...hello Jack and Tom with an open forward line when we get the turnover. Idiots
3. We start behind the ball at centre clearances like every other ******* club....nek minnet 6-6-6 with CD hoping it brings us back to pack. No it won't, it hurts those clubs who like to set up tallish permanent loose men in defence like pies, bombers, lolnorff etc. Idiots.
******* amazing how these tweaks are only going to effect Richmond but not any other club.
This is accurate as f#%k, absolutely astonishing how they bring these ridiculous rules in every year, and then no less than 2 years later make complaints about the state of the game (which is a direct result of these rule changes, eg. third man up, advantage rule, hands in the back)Lol as soon as the balls bounced we can move two extra players into the backline , it will a matter of seconds for it to happen . AFL are so ******* dumb .
Which is what we do anyway, amazing how people mistake our poor general clearance numbers with having poor centre clearance numbers.
Yeah I remember looking into the stats but I couldn’t remember where it had the breakdown between centre and around the ground
we were one of the best in terms of winning the centre clearances it was just around the ground that screwed the data when looking at them as a whole
