My mail from the rat is that the fuzz stumbled across Weiry while investigating cocaine trafficking :drunk:

It was just for me and my 750 horses your honour.

Who is going to step up and take all the horses? A few can spread around but you'd basically need someone to step in and do like 50% of Weir's operation you'd think as city trainers won't have the boxes to absorb them all.

Must be in Sydney races as they have lots of 4 horse fields....

A lot of rumours flying about.

I’m sure a little mayo here and there.

Bottom line, I think our leading winner might be on the biggest loser.

Good that the authorities are not scared to tackle the issues regardless of names involved.

It is an interesting point.

I could see a temp person put in by Racing Victoria to oversee the transitions if required.
This would allow staff to be employed and allowed time to find new stables.
There are some good racing people that could step in temp anyway you’d think.

Big operation.

Peter Moody to the rescue!

Lol would be an atrocious idea - one drug cheat replaced by another.

C'mon man!
Careful.
He’s adamant he’s not.
Hasn’t wanted to return because of the dramas.
Does come across as a straight shooter.

But I’d think if their was a temp foreman type it would be an experienced foreman with an office manager.

You can laugh all you like.
But a horse or two going over thresholds isn’t the same as systematic dopings.
Not sure he’s ever had that levelled at him.

(Yes horses should be within limits and penalties are given when not as it should be.)

Sorry mate - doping is doping - how many weren't caught - don't be naive

Got some juicy details, looks like Weir is really up the creek
AFP raided Wier a few months ago knowing they wouldnt find anything but planted cameras in the stables, then put in an undercover cop as a worker.
Yulong, Munz Ryan pulled their horses already and Australian Bloodstock to follow
Police found a "synthetic substance" that was used on the horses but the AFP doesnt know what it is so they need to investigate it. They have convos where Weir and Mclean were talking about b boxing in faves so the longer priced horse could win...

Massive amount of Mayo on this post. Weir has Yulong August and Cash Affair (Ryan) nominated for next week. If they had already taken them then how can he nominate them?

I've never known a trainer that doesn't bend the rules, even at country non-tab level for 7k prize money.

Bending rules is one thing, eg galloping in the course proper without the official permission, blatant doping, hurting horses etc is another.
