Not an SA company, but GFG bought out the Whyalla steelworks & mining company who came close to going under a year or two ago, also owns a heap of mines and plants around the world. Pretty much saved the town of Whyalla, so Gupta is a bit of a hero over there.

A diehard Brissy fan mate told me they use watermarks so you know that they're player issue guernseys and not replicas. But I was thinking if this was the case it would probably be common knowledge

Yes, but watermarks are meant to be subtle and not printed as a design element.

And I'm pretty sure they were on the replicas last year, so...

For the past couple of seasons, watermarks have only been on the player issue guenseys.

I would strongly doubt that a local manufacturer would be able to produce a set of guernseys any quicker than ISC, and more importantly then print the ISC logo on there?

From memory my 2017 retail jumper had very faint ones. If I’m correct, then they were so faint they’ve completely vanished from the jumper due to washing in just under two years. The 2018 retail, on the other hand, they are easily visible. I really wish they’d go back.

Yeah west coast puma retails didn’t have them at all, only the player issues, so they sort of served a purpose. I don’t see the point in having them on player issues and retails??

Yeah really good, a very "Melbourne" sponsor ... particularly given Jaguar own Range Rover.

I've seen a pic of it on the back of the jumper too, the leaping Jag with the word mark underneath, just in white, no additional background or anything, nice and clean.

It's yet to be officially announced, which is odd, given the players were getting around with it on the back of the training jumpers this morning, so no specifics on it as yet.

Doesn't look like it, they aren't on the list of sponsors on the club website, although that could be a touch misleading because I'm not sure if they ever were, and iSelect is still there, however iSelect are still the major sponsor of the women's team, so they've got a reason to be.
