Fairly noncommittal on Williamson, Marchbank and Macreadie which is a bit concerning but good new nonetheless

Really? I thought he was pretty straight forward. They will be back for the early part of the season. I am thinking before rd5. Compared to what we have all been thinking - thats a huge improvement

Serious non collision related back injuries for elite athletes is a sign that the Club was clue less about conditioning.

Marchbank/Williamson/McCreadie ( don't forget Harry ) all prized tall additions to the list all pretty much scratched for over a year of development.Lang came to the Club with an ankle issue, missed a pre-season and couldn't get it fixed properly for half a season and then came back obviously impaired looking like a VFL draft horse instead of an elite running machine....Kreuzer with a heart issue? - really?? wtf was all that about???

I hope that the Club has done more than just hire Russell to improve player fitness levels and management.

I was not particularly convinced by what Russell had to say about Marchbank McCreadie or Williamson.
Irc some of those were growth related .it was reported with big H and Crippa that I know of..

If we had 40 players doing ball work the other day then that's pretty good. 45 players on the list I think and two of those missing would be Docherty and Pickett. Would suggest that those other three might have been Macreadie, Marchbank and Williamson and sounds like they are all expected back in the first month of the season.

It's a long season and all teams will be missing and carrying players and I don't think our first month of footy is overly challenging with Richmond (Carrying a good few underdone players), Port Adelaide (I'm not expecting much), Sydney (who knows), Gold Coast (Should be weak) good game to bring Marchbank and Williamson in.

Is it just me, or does everyone feel more confident listening to Russell re how we are managing our injuries? No more 1-2 weeks, just tells it how it is.

Lang getting closer. Fas and kruez ready to go last JLT game or round 1. The three back injuries are starting to come along, should be playing in the early rounds.

40 of the list participating in training in some capacity.

Particularly liked his report on mcgovern - did extra conditioning after he payed the first half and is now ready to pay a full game.

This is the stuff we want to hear.

Refreshing..

I also like the fact the guy that knows about it most does the talking

McKay would have a better understanding of anatomy than the average punter

Would hope slight injuries/ management. Especially wrt Lebois. The alternative is they weren't selected. Which isn't a great sign.
I'd suggest a bit of both. Not a great start for Cottrell if he busted his body in a bid to get signed.

Any word on Charlie?

I haven't seen the incident again.

Amos said cramp/corkie, some people are saying calf strain (bloody hope not). Then apparently vision of him warming up at half time which wouldn't be wise management for a calf strain? So I suppose we are probably in the clear here.

It definitely looked like a corkie, especially as they were rubbing his calf down after it happened. Doubt they would be doing that if it was strained. Good to see the tweet confirmation.

All I can say is the gut wrenching feeling I had when I thought he was holding his knee is gonna keep me out for 1-2 weeks. I wanted to throw up.

I was on the other side of the field on the verge of crying. Glad that it isn't significant.
