Didn't play at any level last weekend. Would be a better option if he's available
I put him straight in, Two JLT games is much better than hit out vs palm beach . My ideal replacement for Ainsworth.

Ah Chee could be family issue like last year.

Injury report:
Swallow test (bruising), Ainsworth 4-6 weeks (medial and lateral ligament), Collins test (concussion).

Will be an interesting neafl team this week as the academy series starts on sat and that team gets priority

Doubtful Collins gets through. Concussion normally means a week off unless it was very mild.

Day surely comes in at this point to play down back. That or Burgess goes down back and Day comes in and plays forward. We have no other talls.

The more I watch that last quarter versus St Kilda the more robbed I feel we were. Sincerely there are 6 examples of where we deserved either a free that would have set up an inside 50 or a free that would have resulted in a shot that were completely ignored in the last 5 minutes alone.

- Sexton HTB after less than half a second with the ball
- Hanley getting absolutely smashed in the head by two players non-call
- Collins literally concussed from a high bump with 15 seconds to go non-call
- Dave Swallows mark being called play on (thank god he went back and managed to score a goal anyway)
- Was kicked OOTF about 60 out and newnes threw the ball away in disgust and no 50 was paid to Martin who had to go and collect the ball
- Whoever was playing on Wright held firmly onto his right arm literally every time it went near him

I know it sounds sour and I know we won the free kick count but the last quarter umpiring was atrocious

Leslie ?

Get them in: Nick Holman played all 22 games last year and after a pre-season riddled with back problems is available again. Richmond recruit Corey Ellis has overcome groin surgery and inside midfielder Will Brodieshould come under consideration.

Under the pump: One round in and a credible performance against the Saints, poor form isn't an issue for anyone at this stage.

Medical room: Ben Ainsworth (knee) will miss four to six weeks while co-captain David Swallow (knee) and key defender Sam Collins (concussion) will have to pass fitness tests.

Verdict: Holman should come in for Ainsworth and Brodie should be Swallow's replacement if the skipper doesn't overcome his knee problem. – Michael Whiting

Could point out plenty of dropped marks sloppy turnover kicks and general poor decisions and could probably go through and pick plenty of missed frees against suns also.. we just need to get better plain and simple

Handball backwards to teammate with two St Kilda players on his teammate.

Given you are from QLD and clearly a resident I’d ask you to consider becoming one of us and joining us in our odyssey.
I am definitely a resident but not from QLD. From WA originally so not likely to change allegiances. Generally support the QLD sides when they are not playing us though, especially you guys.

After the bye Holman was particularly good

13 disposals
5 tackles, 1.5 tackles inside 50
12 goals ~ 1 goal / game

Think he could add something up front in Ainsworths absence
Ben was obviously hobbled but had amongst the lowest pressure acts against the Saints.. not ideal for a pressure forward

From Metricon Stadium Facebook page

We love a good flashback so today will be officially known as 'Memory Lane Monday!' 🤩 Today's stop on memory lane is back in 2016 when Fremantle last played at Metricon Stadium. The Gold Coast SUNS defeated the Dockers by 24 points - we think they can do it again this Sunday!

He looked good until his injury. TBH i was shocked he went back out there. I reckon Rankine would be the ideal replacement but obviously won't happen. Maybe Young? he's listed as a test this week and played every game last year as well.

I keep forgetting Young bagged 4 against Sydney.

Might be a decent inclusion in the coming weeks.

He can be a frustrating player but i don't remember too many games where he didn't kick a goal.

Wouldn't trade Joao to you for anything less than a top 3 pick, and a decent sweetener.

Sorry Joao mate, it was good while it lasted.
