“Going with a friend.
Have booked seats.......eight seats away from where my Bombers’ supporting family sit!
I’m begging the boys to do the right thing by me for the family derby....:praying:

THANK YOU, Boys!!
Much obliged

- I knew we could win this game and we did. We look a lot mentally stronger this year. GC game we're down 4 goals to 1 early, we stay calm and quickly get ourselves back in the game, 4th Q they're all over us and we hold on. Today ESS come back in the 3rd Q and we defend strongly in the last and keep them goal less for most of the 4th Q.

- Gresham is a star.

- Marshall got smacked in the ruck but is better around the ground than Pierce and Longer put together x10, 5 marks 7 clearances 8 tackles! Got out marked a few times but well worth persisting with, hope he'll be fit for next week?

- Gave Newnes a ton of crap last year, but he's back.

- Only 13 disposals for Sinclair but 10 contested 9 tackles 5 I50's and a goal. Very effective game.

- One of Savage's better games for the club I would've thought, was massive in the 2nd half.

- Who said Lonie can't tackle?! Him smashing Hurley and winning the ball was nearly my highlight of the game.

- Steele wasn't having his best game, turned it over a couple of times, but persisted and was a key part of us holding on to win.

- DMac's spot in the team starting to look shaky. Dunstan probably still holding on by a thread, and only 56% TOG? Acres quiet but hopefully better for the run, frustrating we don't give him a bit more time in the middle. Not sure we'll make any changes next week.

Marshall made a difference, 114 SC points, that's about 100 more points than Pierce scored last week, he's our no.1 ruckman now.

He'll probably still get dropped for Silly Billy Longer knowing Richo.

Incredibly proud of this fighting win. Gresham and Marshall exceptional. Lonie so so influential. Sinclair, Bruce, Wilkie.

Steele had a huge last half. Breaking tackles and showing poise we haven’t seen, turned it over early but at the end just knew what to do.

Love to see Ross grit his teeth and take a tackle/lay a big one on numerous occassions
Side step like lenny. Looks like lenny.

As awful as Essendon looked in the 1st half, they regained their composure and were coming like a train in the 3rd quarter and start of the 4th. If this was 2018, we would've collapsed like a cheap tent when challenged and then taken a 5 goal loss. Instead we stopped the bleeding, and grinded it out and kept them goalless when it mattered (junktime goals from essendon are standard). Signs of a maturing group

Also I concede I was wrong about Bruce, we missed him terribly, his work in the 1st half at ground level was sensational.

Nathan Brown **** me, dropped some absolute sitters.
I know I’m darragh’s advocate however I can’t see what brown offers over Joyce, other than experience

Marshall for me. So versatile!

No one talks about Sinclair much , but today he had 9 tackles and that goal he kicked settled things down.
All round good team performance.

I’m not Sinkers biggest fan these days but very happy he went well today.

Dunstan’s very low TOG is genuinely surprising; early on I thought he was very very good.

Otherwise, DMac and Kent are probably feeling nervous.

All in all, a super win. Nothing better than beating the cheating smackie scum, unless of course it’s beating Carlscum...

2-0 and on to Lyin and the Dockers next week. Let’s see if we can’t be 3-0 heading into the next home game vs the Hawks.

He's not a dominant tap ruckman but he provides heaps around the ground
He has only had 12 games. And he is very young for a ruckman.
Pierce has been in the system 6 years?
